First ever grow-Chocolope in Kind Soil

Put the scrog in last night. Let it rest just at the level of my tallest plant. My plan is to let these veg up and out for another 7-10 days and then flip.

I want to err on the side of flipping too early. Since this is my first grow I want to get an idea on how the plants stretch and I'd rather deal with a little less harvest than a lot of overgrowth and crowdedness in my 3x2 tent.

Plants seem to all be doing well. Still only feeding them RO water with cal/mag added. Super soil should be giving them the nutrients needed.

I'm ready for the real fall to begin down south. This past week it has been in the upper 80s and low 90s. My tent which is in my garage has been from 76-86 F. I can tell my plants prefer the lower end of that but they are hangin in there until cooler weather comes.

As always, any advice/criticism etc is welcomed.

3 days since the scrog was installed. The two chocolopes are starting to fill out the screen nicely.

The two clones haven't grown at all. They also haven't shown signs of dying. A couple of the bottom leaves have turned slightly yellow but that is all. I'm hoping they grow up and out over the next few days. Is this normal? They were cut approximately Sep 26.

The choc are looking good. The clone were cut on the 26th and rooted by when? My clones make it out of the Aero cloner with roots within 7 days then only a day or less of transplant stress thanks to Olivias cloning mix. Then steady growth from there. If you review your care of the clones we might be able to help better. Without knowing any other information I would let the current watering mostly dry then flush the clones with ro water then let dry a few then water again with light nutes.

They were cut on the 26th of September. I got them on October 1. Roots showing on October 3. Transplanted in to FFOF on Oct 4th. They look exactly the same as when I got them except bottom leaves starting to yellow.

I simply placed the cube in the soil and watered. I left the "domes" on for 2 days after transplant. Temps in the tent have been from 71-85 F. Humidity at 40-60%

I have never had this problem with soil. My Dwc does something similar when I don't pay any attention to it and the plant gets ph locked. Could you see roots coming out of the cube? Maybe the roots haven't been established enough. Everything else sounds fine.

I put the dome back on for 2 days. One of the clones is now growing. The other one hasn't showed much signs one way or another. Just staying the same.

I flipped on Wednesday 10/12, so it's been about 4 days. I've noticed slight growth. Expecting lots more in the next 2 weeks.

PS- I have the wood piece and heavy stapler on top of the scrog to help keep the plants from raising it up.

What is everyone's thoughts on plucking off a few of the limbs below the screen that aren't getting light. Maybe one every other day or so?
Or what about removing a leaf or two every now and then that is blocking bud sites?

That is actually a common practice called lollipoping. Some people say it increases cannopy bud size, some say it decreases. I lollipop all my plant to reduce the amount of larf buds on my plants. I lollipop in the last week of veg all at once and feed a combo of super thrive and Olivias cloning solution to reduce stress. My personal view on stress is to get it over with all at once. But develop a technique that fits your grow, you are already doing great.

I know people who trim branches all the way through flower. I feel this is causing continued stress and ruducing yeild. That's why I just trim during veg or all at once during the first couple of weeks of flower. This doesn't mean I won't pick a dying or damaged leaf.

Last couple of days there has been a "heat wave" where I live. Temps outside have been low 90s in the day and upper 70s at night.

The tent has been 79-89 F. This should be okay for a couple of days for the girls right?

Heres a pic I made. The top is the canopy on October 6th. The bottom is the canopy on October 18th.

Damn dude, looks great! Those choco plants bounced back from the fungus gnats nicely. I used to water a little everyday (as opposed to soaking the soil every 3ish days) but found that it allows the fungus gnats to dig in when the top soil never dries out.

I grow autos so it's a bit different, but I like to trim off the leaves hidden under the canopy, partially in the hopes that the plant will devote more energy upward, but mostly just to increase airflow and prevent humidity from building up above the wet soil. Powdery mildew can get pretty gnarly!

That light looks like it's kicking ass man, I'm stoked to see what you end up yielding.

Regarding the temperature: My cabinet generally runs at ~75-85° and I've never had an issue. As long as they're not under-watered I think you should be fine. Hope this helps

I sprayed my plants with BT spray about a week ago during the first week of flower. It seems to have left white spots all over my leaves that won't go away.

Does anyone know any way to get rid of these?

I hope you're right. Can't wait to see

So today the girls are at 21 days since 12/12. All of my scrogging duties seem to be over. This is how they look.

I hope these colas have enough space around them. What do you think?

My first signs of something that looks like bud. I'm excited haha

On another note. I'm adding a 2x3x2 tent for seedling/veg. It's the only size tent I could find that fits the space I have for it. With such height limitations, what light/fixture would you guys suggest? Also, is a fan/filter combo necessary in this tent. I will also be using the tent for drying after harvest.
