First Dwc Grow From Seed

as you can see ..Im having some drooping issues( OR THE LEAVES ARE CURLING DOWNWARDS )within the past few hours since ive added 0-5-10 of nutes.......can anyone with any advice help me quickkkkkkkk...ASAP.......THNK YOU

Possible heat/light stress.. not a big deal, they aren't drooping, the tips are curling slightly

well everyone...After a good couple of more hours watching this baby curl up....Trust me, hours after the pictures the curling got severe...to the point where it looked like the leaves were literally laying on top of eachother....I couldnt watch them suffer anymore and decided to flush and get back to plain old water in my rez...From overnight i notice a big difference....still a bit curly but after the flush i definitly see it perking up.... maybe i did give them too much of a dose of nutes for the first time because my problem showed up within hours of adding nutez to my res....well thank you and ill keep yall updated....

Hey everyone ...... Just thought Id post up a quick update to see if i can get any advice out there.......Void, I had thought light stress too so i raised the light up a bit and no progress....Im pretty sure this is nute burn because everything was going perfect until I added 0-5-10 of gh nutes for its first feeding....The same dai i put in nutes was the same night i flushed...I cleaned the res and even washed the netpot along with hydroton and cube to get rid of any excess nutes....I also dropped the water level a bit because since the roots were under water i wanted to giv them a lil room to breath....The plant has perked up a bit , but only a bit...The bigger leaves on the seedling are the ones forming the black spots u can see in the pics... Also the new growth is looking good i guess as u can see in the pic.... I posted up pics of what its looking like today so hopefully u guys can help me find a clear diagnosis and we can solve it....The plant has been in plain water for over 24 hrs already and this is what it is now....... anyone got any advice as to if this is nute burn and if not , what can it be???? Please , any advice would be great cuz i want to save this lil one....

that's a real iffy situation.. is it nute burn..? is it deficiency? could be lock out.. those burnt tips say a lot about a lot of different issues, so here's how I'd handle it..

flush for 12-24 hours, then add your premixed (water downed) nutrients and adjust ph daily

Hey void...hOWS you doing??? By the way , I just checked out your video logs right now and job well done!!!!!!......Yeah i dont know what the heck to think bout this lil one here...One thing i notices is that some burns are not even at the exact tip but more like the inner tips if u get what im sayin but there are burns on most tipss.....Well its been bout 48 since flushing.....Do u really think its a good idea to add more nutes at a lessor dosage?????? I dont want to burn them up more than they are but at the same time i dont want to deny them food if it is a defiencency....Ughhh Im stuck here .......Oh and if it helps, the cotelyons ( or whatever there called hahaha) are yellowing up ...could that be sign of possible defincency within the plant????

Still no improvement on my end.....So i went ahead and decided to pick up some r/o water with a ph of 6.0 and tds readings at 5.....switched out tap water and refilled with r/o...hopefully this lil one will look better

K....Well, The older leaves still look all shot out , but the good thing is that im not noticing any more burns other than the ones that been there...The leaves that looked real droopy and curly are still the same, pretty much the lower half....Its been about 3 days of pure water and last night i threw in a fresh res of pure distilled water from sparkletts.(great water quality report)....Since the new growth is looking lush and green , and i did decent flush for a few days, i decided to throw in 1/4 strengh nutes to see how things go...Hopefully all good....Hey im gonna be making a trip to the hydro store today...Just wanted to know , what are must have products for any dwc grower to have??? I plan on going with a list...haha

Make sure you are using Heisenberg's tea @ preventative doses. Liquid Light and Saturator are a great combo for maximizing the faster growth potential of DWC.

Hey yall.....Well real quick , This lil one is lookin better....new growth is growing well and leaves are perpendicular to the light ( no droop or curl) , Yesterday morning I added 1/4 of nutes and things are looking cool....Right now my distilled water reads on tds as 2 ppm....My res with 1/4 strenth nutes is 260 ppm...iM still learning on how to use a tds meter so i pretty much want to know if im doing this right with the whole ppm thing.... I was thinking of adding another 1/4 of nutes to the res tonite...would this be a good idea based on my tds readings???? Also , i added a 1/4 cap of superthrive and already i notice the difference in roots...WOW

yeah, bro 50% strength will be fine. Personally, I'd keep them at 25% for a few more days, but they should be able to take ~500ppm. Got any pics of what they look like now? Also, your previous problem looks like Mg deficiency to me, not nute burn. Might wanna keep a box of epson salt around so you can give em a low dose foliar spray if it pops up again.

hey , thanks for the reply....since i got a tds meter ive been doing lots of research on ppm...Im learning haha....yeah i decided to not add another 1/4 till maybe tommorow...it just recovered so ima take it slow...I w2ent to the hydro store and stocked up on supplys...even got some epsom yesterday just in case....Ill post pics up later today...all the new growth is looking lush...leaves r still on the small side but there getting bigger by the day....plus with the super thrive i added yesterday , today the roots are coming from all sides of the netcup now...but yeah. ill take some shots and post em up for ya...oh by the way , they were fed 1/4 nutes on the seventh , been two days

Well heres some pics of what its looking like now... As for the longer roots...i think thats a stain from the MICRO nutes....If u think otherwise please let me know...I got some h202 for back up....hahahah....enjoy the pics

Just a heads up, Superthrive in DWC is a very risky proposition, as it feeds the shit you don't want to grow as well as the stuff you do. Read the sticky in the DWC forum by Heisenberg, tons of good info on DWC growing there, plus the recipe for his tea, which is a must have for ALL DWC grows.

Your babies look good, and they look like they can use nutes. I'd be comfortable in doubling the dose. Sounds like you're using GH 3 part? Are you using Lucas formula, bottle recipe, or...? to determine your ratios?

Good heads up on the superthrive...ill look into that tea for sureeez....as for the babie haha...Im gunna double that dose up first thing in the morning...Ima wait till lights off tonite then when lights go on in morning ill feed 1/4 dose again....Yeah im using the lucas formula my grow....Just micro and bloom over here...and just to ask...Im new at this , but how by just seein the pic can u tell they need nutes, what are the signs u see so i can look out in the future.,...

It's the shade of green; they are healthy now, for sure, and they don't NEED nutes right now, but they can definitely take and benefit from a stronger dose, assuming the light is good (which I am assuming it is, based on their extreme compactness). Lucas formula is great, I'd get them up to 50% ASAP; it looks like your babies are working on their 5th set of true leaves, so they could probably take 100% strength, but work up to that over the next week. Growth will explode soon, and I'm betting you won't have that Mg lockout you had earlier now that you're using distilled. You can switch back to tap if you use the Hard Water Micro, also.

Hey yall..just thought id give u a quick update to show u how she(hopefully) is doin....Well, since my first feeding of a 1/4 strenth , my plant has been doing real well...Yesterday morning i decided to bump things up a bit and added another 1/4 of nutes , making me a 460 ppm..Since yesterday morning, things have been looking good....My ppm has been stable and everything has gone well....just now, i decided to add another 1/4 of the lucas formula bringing my ppm to 670....heres some pics to enjoy....also , from the way my plant is looking now and considering its already on its 6th node , is my ppm of 670 acceptable for this point???? enjoy the pics...

im subbed ive started my first dwc grow dinafem cheese just to see how easy it is to grow and what the main differences are in dwc to soil..hoping to read and learn alot so keep up with the info..here to the end lets hope for female and plenty of buds
