Could very well be the cause. What was your associate doing that for? Smack him one! :)

A drop of Dawn is good when you are spraying for bugs if you don't have insecticidal soap but just a drop in a liter of water is enough.

A rinse with plain water may be in order if you haven't done that yet and knock off any puddled water on the leaves. Do it just after lights out so the light can't burn the leaves when wet and they'll be dry by morning.

I also noticed the leaves were dry.
He had been doing it for a couple of days but yeah he said for insects but there's no insects right now, but on another note I really need to do a water change and the 2nd week of feeding starts tomorrow!

I almost never change my nutes. When plants are tiny they don't eat hardly anything so should be able to go at last the first month without a change. I use syringes to measure out small amounts of nutes to raise my ppm as the plants get bigger. I generally don't do a change until after the stretch is over then go with a tailored flowering mix from then on.

Tell him not to spray for invisible bugs. They don't hurt anything but the spray can.

I want to do a water change because the Algae build up has me worried!
Mate if i read right your water temp is 70f thats to warm the alage u got building up MAY be root rot an it breeds well in warm water i have recently as in last night binned my 1st at DWC due to root rot,i managed to sort the water temperature out but it was to late is was in there on the rock wool i started her with,i started to freeze 500ml pop bottles an when the water temperature got to the maximum safe temperature I'd drop a frozen bottle in the bucket, it drops the temperature instantly just keep an eye on the temperature incase it gets to cold u don't wanna put em in to shock,i found semi freezing the 500ml bottles dropped the temperature to the minimum safe temperature range an sat there intill it slowly started to rise,it takes hours to go high again just check it's not root rot

Haven't seen the plants in a few days but they have been doing good I think,
no new deficiencys.
The roots are pearl white almost..
I CAN SAY WITH CERTAINTY THAT HYDROGEN PEROXIDE WORKS!
My roots use to be slimy and turning dark. Now They are great!
The plants actually smell good like fresh vegetables In a way lol.
Temp was found at 73.5
Humidity 61%
Didn't check water temps or ppm.

10/31/16 HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Plants are around 21days old from seed sprout.
All is going good still, mostly.
I think I figured out the brown spots on a couple of the leaves. Looks to be a calcium deficiency if I am correct, suggestions are welcome!
Temp 72F
Water was found at 71F, added ice got it down to 67F.
Humidity 71% highest yet!
Roots are looking good but noticed some green on them?? Fox farm grow big is green so maybe from that? Idk.
But don't smell bad, I think res is almost due for a water change, been over a week since last change.
Ppm 884
Reg tap water comes out at 450ppm so..
Still unable to check ph currently.
(Batteries died)

U got a Phosphorus deficiency by the looks of things mate, basically it can be caused by a few things, the most common is lock out of nutrients the other is when your temperature drops below 60f an your plants have difficulty absorbing the phosphorus making your plant stems turn purple, but purple stems can also be a genetic problem (so growers say) a couple of those pictures look like there's a PH fluctuation, growing in hydro your PH could be in range but at some ph levels in the range of 5.5-6.5 there are certain nutrients that are available at 6.2 that aren't available at 5.5, the best thing to do is set the ph at around 5.8-6.2(ideal) an let it raise over the coming days cause it will raise, to no more than 6.5 if you go over 7.0 you MAY put your plants in to shock.

Temps haven't dropped below 70F light is 24/7 btw, I know I should be checking ph often but currently my ph meter batteries went dead after I decided to be a noob and leave it on over night lol. But I am using tap water that's ph is 7.0 and ppm is 450. I just filled up my water bucket as I am doing a water change today, thanks for the knowledge, maybe it could be because I haven't been adding enough GH bloom? I use grow big more than bloom I used less bloom to keep from burning my plants. I'll step it up a tad.
We are at the beginning of week 3 today!

Don't nutrients bring down the ph?
