First Cfl

I just started growing in a 2.5 x 2.5 x 3.5 grow box and i wanted to use cfl's but i only intend on veging the plant unil it's 16". i have 3 computer fans hooked up (1inlet. 1 outlet. 1 inside the box) i have 3 3bulb fixtures and 3 single bulb fixtures would i be able to complete a good harvest from 2 plants useing all the fixtures i have (with cool/warm cfl's)

I topped mine at 8" and got 3 1/2 foot plants.

yeah i was thinking about doing that to get two tops

I'm about to finish with harvest today will post pics tonight, lol they didn't end up small thats for sure!

the wattage of my light is 23watt per cfl bulb and the total number of bulbs is 12 will that be enough to veg and flower 2 plants?

Those 12 bulbs will grow 2 small plants yes. The good thing with CFL's is they are small and cheap, you can always add more as you go. 12 will be decent. As your plants get bigger if you need to add more or bigger bulbs you can easy enuff.

yeah the topping one looks good enough

if heat becomes an issue i can always add another couple of fans to the box.

can anyone sudgest any mods that i can make?

Yeah, get some pictures up for us And if you havn't line the inside of your box with reflective material or paint it flat white. Evert bit of light helps, reflection is key.

my plants arn't growing yet but i'll try to get some pictures of the box it's self... o and i was talking to one of my buddies and he sudjested a Scrog grow for the size of the growbox.. would that work?

yeah it is reflected with some stuff that i picked up at the hardware store. i'll try to get some pictures on soon. One of my good buddies said that i should do a scrog grow in the box, using chicken wire as the screen. he said that it was originally used for people who didn't have much light. do you think it would be a good idea?

Yh ive cut the top of one of my plants ....which worked out mega But it all depend on the strain as some strains grow one main cola on the main stem

yeah he said that about some strains but white wid will grow 2 i think... can you sudgest anything else? because i need some more ideas for the box i have now.. but i'm tryen to save up for more materials to build a better place like lights and fans and more stuff but

most do but some dont ..!

can you explain that for me a bit more.... and what is a T5

t5 are lights i think Cfls or tubes

can you buy those higher watt cfl's at a bigger store like home depot or wal-mart? Should i use all cool white for veg and then warm white for flower or should i mix them up?
