Thx for the feedback guys. If I could, I would use ALL 600s. For so many reasons except initial budget:(. I don't see how there's lots of arguments to the contary. But if I had that much money I'd go plasma induction anyways?:)

I am running everything on 75% power until they get used to it and the room is dialed in. Here's a shot of my veg room, it's funny cause it's only 24 sq feet but I manage to pack them in.

Also, I've decided to move away from using pots larger than 3 gallons. Most of my experience is in 10L pots so I'm going to stick with them. These giant bushy girls are just too cray.

Soon, starting to build an aeroponic rail system. More about that later...
Cheers

yea i would agree...indoor 3 gallons seems to be a good size. I have used 5 gallons before but didn't see much difference in the yields. most the 5 pots when finished still had plenty more space for roots. Maybe with a extended veg time 5 gallons would be better, but with a 4-6 week veg 3 works great!

Ok finally able to sit and chill for a minute. Here's a full update on the grow. Lmk if you think this is too long winded and if I should move it to a grow journal. But, I've learned so much on here over the years, and sifted through so much keyboard warrior bs that I hope this can help somebody out there learn a thing or two.

There have def. been things that have gone wrong.
#1: the flip didn't go clean. I haven't used Apollo digital timers in quite a while, and when I set them all up I left them all on 24/7 somehow. So, they were on 18/6 in veg, then 24/7 for like 3 days. Then, I caught it. But then when I fixed it, I still screwed up on 1 of them. So for the next day 1 lamp was on 24/7 and the rest of them were on 12/12. Omg anyone who has used Apollo 9 timers please feel free to chime in I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

#2 it was really warm here anyways and the plants ripped throughout the water for a few days, and the 24/7 didn't help. So , heat stress occurred and it's since recovered but lots of first run in a new room goof ups.

#3 I'm a little worried about my genetics. I grew most of these from seed so I really have to cross my fingers. The green python just has no stem strength. Today I finished repotting the next 26 girls who are in veg, mostly chemglue from a proven mom, dirty girl clones from a pretty mom, and fruity chronic juice. They went into mostly 10 liters of FFOF. Thinking of picking up some Chernobyl clones, I hope I can find the lime slurpee pheno we'll see.

Ok so now, it's smooth sailing. Despite all the issues most plants are really happy. The purple monkey balls is crazy! I should prob come up with a net system or something pretty soon :)
Cheers
New rooms are always a pain, this is my first run in new room and having small goof ups too. Those timers seem to work well for me once you figure them out. As long as your not growing this for a paycheck you should be alright with your random genetics . If you are growing for a paycheck you got some big balls growing from seed. Find someone with good genetics and pay the premium , it will save you soo much stress along the way lol. Fungus gnats are usually from overwatering.. Let them dry out In soil. What ppms are you running for first week of flower?

Took some shots at the shop tonight. Yeah I don't really need a huge paycheck out of this one, I can easily get clones of many strains, thinking of what to bring in along side the next batch. Leaning toward chernoble.

I don't test ppm, since I'm mostly just using a tried and true organic nute regime and I'm not in hydro I don't really find it necessary.

Fungus gnats are 99% gone thank goodness! image.jpgimage.jpg

Ok so I hit up my local hydro shop and they only had gallons of bio marine. So I picked up a qt of Roots Surge instead anybody used it? 2-2-.8 mostly fish byproduct and kelp. It looks like a quality product, going to add 5mL/gallon during transition and bump it to 10mL/gallon for weeks 3-7. Any ideas for the next strain we should try to get in?

Well I guess I'm going to find out, Im a little worried now though:) I haven't heard much about mirrors, but I don't like working with Mylar much, and these were way cheaper than Mylar so I thought why not. I have seen mirrors used once and it seemed pretty effective, but that was under 400s.
I guess time will tell? Plus they're so easy to wipe down!

Checked in on the girls tonight and it's looking great. Cranked everything up to 100%, and adding 3 more lights soon, 2 600w hps and 1 1000w light, haven't decided what kind yet. Here's a few photos, I took 1 from each corner. Official flip was oct 14:)image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpg

High of 83.8 lastnight, so not ideal. My kick ass partner did lots of work on the intake while I dusted and retaped all the hoods, so tonight I hope to go down a few more degrees. Took a good photo, cheers yall

That amount of light in the space seems like an overkill to me. Those hoods are stacked for 1000s. But should be able to pull more than that room will fit if you get the system locked in.

Well I'm only at like 4200 lumens per square foot in this room, wherever that puts me. It feels like I need more light in there!
