I forgot to show the filters when I got them. The top fan has a carbon screen in it to absorb some smell. My girls are flowering and it doesn't smell to bad. It's still early
in the flowering stage though. They're not in the box cause I just watered them and I don't do it in the cab.

Should put a real carbon filter on and let me know how it works.
Putting a real carbon filter on a duel pc fan sounds tricking. Any ideas? The filters on there now are doing a pretty good job. When I open the doors the smell is definitely stronger.

There is a thread around here where someone cut a piece of mesh to the size of a computer fan added 1'' walls of cardboard, filled it with activated carbon and put another piece of mesh oh the other side. It's essentially a filter the exact size/shape of the fan stacked on top of the fan...I believe it was taped on there.

I've got something weird going on in my grow, the good kind of weird though. My girls are doing great but I also have what seem to be spider mites. The thing is though
they're not on the plants but only coming out the drain holes into the saucers, and dying. This has been going on for 3 days now. I carefully look over the plants daily and not a one
bug is on them. Are my plants so healthy they can repel bugs? Is that a thing? I'll post a pic of what I'm talking about tomorrow. I just washed out the dead bugs earlier today.

All those little spots in the saucer are bugs. Some dead, some still alive. It's only been 2hrs since I rinsed them out.

These two pictures, I think are just beautiful

When my soil is well balanced and microbiology is at its peak I see 0 bugs or if I do it's much like this: I am a bad bug! Ooooh....probiotics murked me...

I think the good bugs in your soil are suffocating the bad.

Well done!

I've made a couple upgrades to the cab. Put in little shelves for some speakers to play classical music. A fellow grower suggested I try it. Put a small 6" fan in the corner to increase air flow in the canopy. Unfortunately the fan increases the temp when the doors are closed so I don't keep it on for to long. I mounted an analog thermostat/hygrometer on the back wall. Now I finally know what my humidity is at. 45%

Thrips? you didn't say fly, so that would be the next obvious 1st guess....I have fruit flies but using Neem oil mixture as a soil drench...no mites/no flies......works really good...
Nope, they're fungus gnats. Dead ones keep showing up. My plants look completely fine though. Just got some gnat nix the other day to combat the bugs. Well, I'm hoping the bugs didn't cause any damage to the roots. I just started week 8 of flower. I'm in the home stretch. I'm choppin at 10 weeks

It's made from 3/4" oak plywood. It's solid and heavy. I love it. The outside dims are:

29.5"L x 21.5"W x 41.5"H

Just wanted to share what I built with people who can appreciate it. It's almost 100% done.
I've got some very minor light leak to fix and still have to get the filters for the fans. Oh and I plan to hide the wires under some pcv pipe cut if half. I want everything nice and clean looking:bigjoint:View attachment 3369913 View attachment 3369914 View attachment 3369915 View attachment 3369916 View attachment 3369917 View attachment 3369918 View attachment 3369919 View attachment 3369920 View attachment 3369921 View attachment 3369922
Nice build, my man.giphy.gif

This is going to be a sweet little box when I'm really 100% done. When I start making the next round of improvements, I'll post some pics. I'm also building an LED light for this sucker. Still need 1 heat sink, 4 COBs, all the wires, connectors, and other various things. It'll probably take a few more weeks till I have everything but when this baby is ready to go, oh man. It's first run turned out way better than I expected. So when I have my shit more dialed in, it's gonna be dope.

Stay tuned folks, I'm one crafty son of a bitch.

So far the cab is running great! Depending on my room temp the cab ranges from 75f-85f. Sorry, but I won't be posting pics of my plants.
However, they are very healthy and happy. Had one issue with one growing into the light and got burned just a wee bit. For nutes I'm using Nectar For The Gods. Really great stuff.
My plan is to build an LED light for this cab but money is a little tight. Just got a new car. And the cfls are working just fine for now.

I may post a pic of the ladies...if you guys promise not to tell my roomy who's paranoid about the internet. haha
Does the wood get hoter then a traditional tent? Thinking of doing something like this with a 250 watt hp and 6 inch duct fans.
