FFOF = Super soil?

This is bullshit...big bloom is not chemical it is 100% organic. It is not OMRI rated but I know first hand it is safe for no till or living organic soil grows. I have been using it in my teas for over a year now; there's no question fresh EWC & guano tea is more active than anything sitting on a shelf for a time but it's NOT synthetic. Most of fox farms other bottled nutrients are synthetic I agree but BB is the sole exception.
I think your right, tiger bloom is the chem. Big Bloom is organic.

a bottle full of anerobic liquid just doesnt seem quite fully organic. I mean a lil kelp meal
bubbled would be alot better. Blood meal fish emulsion alfalfa etc would be great to of course but not all together. But to each his own i guess or however that saying goes.lol

Now my understanding is FFOF is type of organic soil that is "hot" so you start your seedlings in light warrior, then a couple to few weeks transplant into FFOF with a little buffer of light warrior to avoid hot shock.. if that makes sense? So my question is If FFOF is Hot, why isnt it good enough to run through the whole grow, maybe adding big bloom. I have ran all my grows with FFOF, but maybe a full month into Veg I started using Grow big, I wondering If I can just skip that. I would love to create some of these super soils, however I am not in position to create this where I live, And I don't really grow enough for that much soil. Any advice or ideas, would be much Appreciated
1.5 cu/ft fox farm ocean forest
1 cu/ft bat guano/ earthworm castings planting mix
1 cu/ft light warrior
8-10 qt's of perlite
1 cup of happy frog fruit and flower 5-8-4
Will get you from start to finish only water. PH should start at 6.7 and drop to 6.5 by the end of flowering.
Its what Ive always used and it works great.

You really love fox farm. :hump::lol::bigjoint:

In all seriousness, ff is credible and a good choice for organics. I just don't agree with the PGR's they manufacturer and market. They have no place in medicinal plants and pose health risks.
As long as it's organic or veganic sourced, your good.:weed:

That I do :bigjoint:

Are you saying that fox farms bottle nutes contains PGR's or their soil mix? I can definitely believe that about their nutes line but haven't heard anything about the soil mixes containing anything. Hope that's not the case...
Thanks

Hey guys hope all grows are going well, So I am watching a video on a company called BOOGIE BREW. So lets bring it home. What I have taken from this talk we're having is

)1 FF can in fact be used with out Nutes as long as you amend it first with more nutrients like "BIO-LIVE" Which I found in a local store (score one for me)

2) Put FF in my large container with lid and add BIO-LIVE, water it down and let it sit. 1.5 - 2 months it will be ready. Now here is a question, how long will that last, what if my seedlings are still small and in light warrior. will the soil go bad a month or two after it has did its cooking?

And lastly The boogie brew sounds like a great way to feed once my plants are in and vegging. And if so this brew will be used every other water or so? I am doing research I am not just relying on you guys and gals. However I do like to hear from the community of others who have the same passion as me and not just salesman. - :weed::peace: Here is the site for Boogie Brew http://www.boogiebrew.net/boogie-brew-pro-tea/

Lmao, I almost forgot what I wanted to ask.. And that is when using teas and dirt, Im I correct when I say that it takes time for the biology to work it the soil, I guess what I am trying to say is if it takes months for every thing to break down and work together wont my plants already be past the stage were , all this work will be a waste? I hope I articulated that correct.

Thanks for the help, Question. are you PH-ing your water de-Chlorinated water to 6.5 before watering or are you just going with De-Chlorinated water straight ? Mine is and 7.8 around there.

No... hell no. They're soil doesn't have any PGR. Just a few bottle products... but still, a company that makes any PGR and is actively involved/associated with any cannabis community, raises my eye brow.
Not that I'm discrediting them, I have just chossen a different route.

With all that organic goodness, I wouldn't pH anything with sodium bicarbonate or potassium bicarbonate. If you need to pH down, I'd use apple cider vinegar or phosphoric acid.
Bicarbonate fucks with your pH as it accumulates and you'll have spikes.

Ok so here's the skinny. Any soil can be ammended to Taylor to organic. Almost every companynoutnrhere incorporates some form of either organic acid or myco or orgainic ammendment. Beit it almost all commercial soils are fomulated with peat, coco, dry amendments or acids, it gives you the grower a excellent start in nutrient fortification. What differs mainly is the CEC and aeration/drainage, water holding ability.

Any FF soil will perform for you if you add dry organic ammendments and wet it down with an AACT. Cook for 30 -45 days and your gold.
Add EWC and basalts with some myco and your rocking some ROLS.

Where do you want to take this? Full organic water only?, or ....

Honestly I have never ph'd my water once. I just run it through my filter and go. I agree with the numbers from grandpa green above though if you want to pH it

OK I didn't think so. Thought I was gonna have to change up my game a little. Though I might try giving coots soil recipe a try my next run and see the side by side results :bigjoint::blsmoke:

Yes, full organic, and with tea's to keep the life in the soil happy. At this point the 4 I have I think it may be to late. I have not used any thing in them besides straight FFOF and Big bloom once. However I did not boost the soil first before planting. So im not sure if the tea will be worthless for me. However all the knowledge I gain now can only help my next grow that much more.

Today I went and Picked up the Happy Frog line of organic Nutrients, I have dressed my ladies up, watered them down. And I am off! I was going to do a side by side comparison, but really once you decide for your self what you believe to be right.. its all or nothing in my opinion. Here is to the Happy Growers of the world. I am 45 soon 46 and I am setting a goal, I want to farm, not just medicine but all my food. I am the Son of a little farmer girl from Illinois , its in my blood.

Just remember that anything you do will take 4-7 days to show. Soil is very forgiving unlike hydro, but soil also has a higher CEC (caution exchange capacity) and this means that it holds nutrients and gradually releases them to the plant. This is good!!!!, but also has the ability to hold onto alot more than the plant is capable of taking up, thus causing lockouts or burning. Less is more!
Even organics can burn, but plants usually don't show the symptoms as quickly and clearly as soiless salt base. Eitherway, make sure to start a journal and grow with us.

Pretty stoked, I built a Tea station today, 5 gal bucket , bulk head attachment and spigot.Going to wait a few weeks before I brew up any tea, yesterday I scratched in to the top 3inches of my soil5 table spoons of Fertilizers, once max veg begins:weed: so will the Tea party! Thanks for the input, and advice from you farmers:leaf:

Last note before I cut you loose.
There are 2 different types of AACT. Fortified nutritive, and non nutritive aka a microbial tea. Don't get the 2 mixed up and don't brew too often.
Week on, week off
Too much AACT and the microbes will feed on each other and not truley benifit the plant by focusing on organic ingredients.
Also be conservative with carb loading ie, molasses. Too much or too often isn't good.
Good luck and keep us updated with porn!

Left to right, One, two and four, have L.A confidential fathers. Mothers are Left - Right, Panama punch (Hurricane) , Snow Cap (Mammoth) Number 3 Is what we suspect as being Durban Poison or Lemon Skunk, and lastly 4 is a unknown as far as what the mother is we know the father to be L.A Confidential. They are already smelling skunky in the morning. Friday was 3 weeks from bean pop.:weed::leaf: I know early babies, more to come over the months.
