I'm not comfortable with the notion.. I'd be too afraid the gender wouldn't be locked in very tightly, causing herm.. I've really wondered if alot of herms out there aren't infact XX stressed to produce staminate flowers, but rather drag-queens who just expressed female because it was the trendy thing to do at the time..

More like negative stress.. Preferable environment early season has been shown to incease female proprtions.. I'm just worried that these converted females are likely to snap back towards male at a bad time..

Didn't the reading you posted, from that guy. . . say that ethylene was use to ripen fruit, so I'm not really sure how that isn't natural? Maybe we can find someone that works at a grocery store to try this out. I saw ethylene as an organic solvent, but it would be more of a vapor then a gas. It would be cool to at least know if it would make larger buds though, I'm going to watch this and see if it goes anywhere.

Exactly ethylene is pure natural, all fruits and vegetables release ethylene gas as they ripen. Farmers usually harvest fruits early so they can be stored longer before sale. when their ready for sale of product they use canisters of ethylene to help fruit ripen.
