it says herms produce herms. buy your seeds.
This makes no sense at all. A female plant has to be breed to another female to produce only fem seeds. So you have to draw pollen from a herm plant some how. Why havnt any of my feminized plants ever grown Pollen sacks?

because you are LUCKY.

you do NOT make feminized seeds with hermy plants. if you do you are doing it wrong.

You do make feminized seeds by using hermies (in a sense) by using genotypicall females(true females) and forcing them to become diocious (hermy) and pollenating another true female with it. It is in fact the only way to ensure they are female. This happens, as I understand it at least, because a female carries only X chromosomes containing 10 sets of genes. A full seed contains 20 gene pairings. When a male delivers his Y chromosome of 10 genes, it sets the possibility to have XX, or XY pairings, making either male or female. By hermying a true female you take the pollen form of the 10 and add it to another females buds with its ten sets making a female seed. NOW, with that said, by hermying a true female you pass on its resistance to stress or in other words, how easily it can also go hermy. So when you compound those hermy abilities through imbreeding, you are basically passing on inbred genes with increased chances for retards. A safer practice than taking pollen from the first thing that hermys is to take a very vigorous true female with a great resistance to stress and stress the hell out of it. Interupt its light cycles aggressively by putting it in complete darkeness for a few hours then back into bloom for a few hours, then back and forth. Fuck its head up. Then take the pollen and pollenate with it. Right now I am doing that to an XJ 13 (jack herrer x G 13 as rumor has it) and am going to cross it with a cadillac cutting(purple urkle x Blackberry Kush x the black). The point isnt to creat a wonderful new breeding line that will continue for generations, its more so i can find the perfect cross to clone off of. As I understand it, the seed banks are doing just that, only using giberilic acid to stress its hormones. How do you think they get the crosses they do. Super lemon haze for example- super silver haze x lemon skunk. Even feminized seeds lean more to one mother than to the other. Some are more skunky, some are more hazey. thats because they are using a female lemon skunk and crossing it with a female silver haze. You cant make feminized seeds using a male. You cant. It will pass on Y chromosomes. The true explanation is usually the one which requires the least assumptions for it to be true...or something like that. Ill let you know how it all goes in a few months...hahahaha

actually, ... you find a female that will hemry under NO conditions. no matter how much you mess with it. then you use colloidal silver to create male pods. ;)

otherwise you're simply working with hermy prone genetics.

it isn't a "true female" if it hermies.

Well, to get technical all weed genetics are hermy prone, just to more or lesser degrees. The harder it is to make it hermy, the stronger the hermy resistance genetics you pass on, built into its genetices, they are all hermy prone. And those seeds from a few months back, all ladies...smelling lovely. I went with vanilla kush to cross with xj13, they came out great.:leaf::hump:
