female flowers under 24/0

Hello,

Looking into getting into breeding or crossing. I have a plant that I'd like to experiment with....but the female flowers under 24 hours of light.

This is an annoying trait. Is there a good chance that this is heterozygous and f1's won't have this characteristic? Am I just wasting time? Should I search again for another plant to breed?

Only your females do this? Out of a population of how many? Thats called an autoflower btw.
Probaably not heterozygous if shes goin under 24/0 but it is recessive so cross it to a normal plant you flower under 12/12 or what have you and the results should be all regular 12/12 unless you inbreed then the f2 will express 25% autos just select against that trait and you shouldnt have a problem.

Hope that answered most of your question if not lemme know

Well, I only have 2 from the same batch, one male and one female. Only the female does this. I've grown about 6 out in the past and this female only seems like the one.

I took a cutting in veg, and the preflowers just kept going in the cloner. Its been under 24/0 light and it just looks unhealthy, tiny flowers, mutated growth, stunted growth.

I didn't think it was a auto, just some trait. Do you think it has some ruderalis possibly?

Thanks

I've read many cannabis books, mostly of them are garbage (not all though.) Didn't get a chance to read that one.

Vostock, You've been posting a lot lately on the forums and I'm not impressed.

Anyway's, marijuana grows faster under 24/0 light than 18/6, a proven fact. That's why I do it. Some debate that 18/6 is superior for other reasons.

In Gregg Greens Cannabis Grow Bible, he states cannabis needs all the light it can get in vegetative growth, leave your light on 24 hours a day. Does he state otherwise in that book?

That sounds highly likely, what strain is it and whered you get the seed?

24 hr liggt works great especially with autos if you can afford the electric bill, cannabis breeders bible is an okay resource for a total begginer to breeding but honestly youd probably do better just doing good internet research into genetics and plant breeding, that and just doin crosses and growing them out

Sativied has some good posts on breeding that i think would be pretty helpful, some stuff on mendelian ratios and inheritance and some other general breeding stuff

Ok, I'm pretty sure I have this partially figured out. No pics but, its AK-47 serious seeds (newer).

I'm doing or did something wrong. Not sure what, but I'm sure the stress from moving locations to a temp spot for a while them didn't help. A group of multiple cuttings all taken from veg were cloned in an aerocloner with 1 2ft t-5 bulb on 24/0.

The AK mom had preflowers all over her in 24/0 veg, while others were normal.

Out of the batch, a few have uneven phyllotaxy. Basically it looks like I'm re-veging flowering plants, and since the AK was preflowered so heavy it is very ugily reveggin.

Maybe a little more light on the cloner will help mitigate this.

I grew Serious Seeds AK 47 and vegged under 24/7 with no problems. You are probably right that the stress from moving is a factor. Don't listen to Vostok's BS, that dude is a bunch of talk with nothing to show for it. If you look at his journal entries he cuts and pastes other peoples How To's and adds a few words of his own so he doesn't have to site a source. There is a reason this guys doesn't ever show his OWN work and why his profile is now hidden, its because his bullshit is overlapping and people have caught him in one too many BS lies. Nor is this is not the first time he has gone out of his way to speak down to females, disturbing trend.
