Feds: Banks Should Call Police if Customer Withdraws More Than $5k in Cash

You stated 2 very sad issues , one where most Americans have less than $1,000 in the bank , the other being government thinks anybody with $5k is a criminal , I'd be willing to bet many of the low account balance folks keep money at home like we do .

I leave very little in our accounts & prefer to keep 90% of our liquid assets in safes , that's why the whole $5k deal pisses me off , it isn't alot of money & I withdrawal at least that much every month .

I highly suggest people use safes vs banks , even a shoe box is better .
I sure as hope to hell you do not keep it all in worthless green back dollars,
The federal reserve has printed trillions upon trillions of dollars with nothing to back them and issuing them into the economy at almost a zero % interest rate for ,,around 7 years now,LOL imagine that,, about the time obamao hitler got elected,
Do you know what something is worth if you can get it for free?
The same thing the federal reserve is doing now, printing money and propping up a false economy has been tried in the past,
Do you know what happens when the press is up or people become aware of what is going on>?
Do you know what happens when the printing press stops?
It ends up being kind of like a fucked up game of musical chairs where you have three hundred million people all trying to get to the last chair.
The one person who gets the chair gets to eat, the rest starve,

,
No matter how you put money away there is risk , as of now there are no indicators that the US $ is gonna fall off the map in the near future , we have some gold & silver but the bulk of it is cash & will stay cash until there is a reason to convert .

Right now this is the best way to put away money .

10,000 Mark January 19, 1922 Reichsbanknote
Image reduced approximately 50%, note size 210mm x 124mm
In early 1922 10,000 Mark would buy over 250 Pounds of Meat.
By the end of the year it would buy only 5 pounds of Meat.
In June bread is 3.50 Mark a loaf.

yep, but because theres no central point to the bitcoin network, the statists cant subpoena the "CEO of bitcoin" anymore than they could sue the "president of the internet". now if they can control and shut down every possible transmission of packets (a true "internet killswitch") we would be fucked, but then there is TOR and meshnets. the market seems like it will always find a solution around bureaucratic inefficiency

Not too much , it has to go somewhere every 6 months & my safe is safer than any bank , it's too damm hard to move large amounts of cash around without paying tax on it multiple times .
Somewhere like a hole in the ground?

Mind if I ask what you do for a living?

I can think of worse problems to have lol

No I don't mind at all because it's all legal, my main income is derived from my real estate business , we own 2 self storage facilities & over 2 dozen high end rental properties & some warehouse space we lease out , we also buy upscale foreclosed homes, revamp them & flip them on the market .

I also collect my construction union pension which is over $5k a month & my wife's pension which is about $2k a month , our yearly income is roughly $350k at present & we have no debt or mortgages .

We all ready have everything we want so now we just save , help our kids & donate to 3 charities pretty heavily , we like helping sick kids & animals .

Haha , at 62 yrs old there isn't much trial & error left to do , our middle son just quit business school at U of M this year to take over the real estate business & is doing great at it , I'm getting too old to run all over the state dealing with business & my wife needs my constant help now so it was time to step down & let the kids run the show .

Great for you man. I make about $200K a year from farming over 1,000 acres. I just set the GPS on my tractor, take a nap, then go pick up my government welfare check. They pay $2 an acre to "Not grow crops" AKA create conservation land for plants and animals.

Farming is sooper easy.

I drink myself into a stupor until 4 am, then I sleep in until around noon or so, then its right back onto these boards to troll others day in and day out until I pass out again from the alcohol.

whoops, had a Shirley McClaine moment there.
