They figure if you have 5000 cash you done something illegal to get it, other than earned income tax credits they know the average American has less than 1000 in the bank,
They are watching us very closely,

You stated 2 very sad issues , one where most Americans have less than $1,000 in the bank , the other being government thinks anybody with $5k is a criminal , I'd be willing to bet many of the low account balance folks keep money at home like we do .

I leave very little in our accounts & prefer to keep 90% of our liquid assets in safes , that's why the whole $5k deal pisses me off , it isn't alot of money & I withdrawal at least that much every month .

I highly suggest people use safes vs banks , even a shoe box is better .

Couldn't agree more , my pension is direct deposit but I get it all out as soon as it's deposited on the 1st & dump it in the safe .

We keep enough in checking & the use of safe deposit boxes that they don't charge us to use their bank , my biggest fear is the government will seize my money when I kick off & my kids won't get it all .

I haven't decided if I want kids, my wife says in 4 years but this world is getting pretty wild. Not talking about the world ending or anything but parents are getting stripped of their rights to make choices for their family. With my hobby it would kill me to have my kids taken away just because I grow an herbal garden. It scares the shit out of me to have kids to be honest.
