Fans, Ventilation?

Hey there guys, just wondering, been looking at a few of your setups and most of you either have air conditioners or fans, skunkish and a few other guys just have some desktop fans im wondering what does this actually do?

First question: The obvious is it cools the room down? I'm assuming cooling the room down is a good thing?

Second question: Somebody said it strengthens the stems? Myth or Fact?

Third question: If it strengthens stems then when should the fan be put onto the plants? or Should it not be put onto the plants at all and just circlulate the room?

Much love.. Paul :D

Oh and on a side note, i've just ordered my seeds today, they've only just become available on this UK based website so hopefully I should have them within a week...

Lowryder x Santa Maria - im pretty sure is what it's crossed with

First answer: Heat is a growers worst enemy. 75-85 degrees is perfect. above 60-75 is ok at times, but not to be sustained or fall below 60. and above 90 and plant will halt growth.

Second answer: Yes, it does in fact strengthen stems. this is good when the plants flower to help support the weight of the buds

Third answer: the fan should be put on the plants one week after the seeds pop through the soil. until then just use a fan to circulate the ambient air
