from the videos he spent as much time per plant as I do with 99cent store shears. His hands will probably be less sore and he doesnt have to really pay attension.
$139 I'd probably buy it.
$1399 He better give me a sweet reach around and a jar of vasaline. Thats a retarded price. even with economys of scale that things not worth half that.

I'd say the most intricate part is the blade. Not impossible to make, but to make it round and straight not no mention razor sharp would be a challenge. The fact that it's stainless helps,as it wouldn't be subject to the warpage normally associated with milling out that slot. So you got the following

On the high end
100 for the blade
10 for the toolbox
1 for the sponges
3 for the plastic bottles and vegetable oil
3 for the hose
30 for the vacuum controller ac voltage regulator
15 for the flexshaft
60 for the motor and regulator
1 for the o ring
5 for the bearings
50 for the housing body, depth of cut guide and end bearing housing

SO yeah close to 1000% mark up......
But if you think that you could honestly trim that fast, with that consistency at that speed for 8 hours straight then your are smoking too much of your product.
I'm saying that including the cleanings, some of which were but in I believe for demonstration purposes.
Plus no need to bring in others which is a security concern.
The result appear to be consistent with out excessive bud handling or trichome molestation.
It's small and portable.
Little to no training and over it's life time pays for itself not in price but in time.
Time you could be spending on family, friends, being outside or whatever.

I do think it's shitty for a group that is servicing this hobby/industry to gouge it's potential customer base.
Plus I'm pretty sure the aardvark came out before it, and this seems to be a rip-off of the original.

Maybe a 3-D printed version could be made cheaper?
