Every1!!!! We must all get together and fight for our rights!!!!! It this wednesday !

As far as I know, I will be at the hearing on Wednesday. I don't know if I will be testifying, as I haven't had a chance to meet with either the ASA group or RIPAC (tonight). I might throw my hat in to talk regardless, and use the above points as the largest justification to maintain individual access to medicine. My other point is the role of patient empowerment, although that does not justify the role of caregivers as much as the patients' rights.

The main issue is that we face a re-criminalization of a legal and therapeutic system that has not been unsuccessful. Those who have abused the system have been punished; that is why we taxes toward police salaries. The ulterior motives of this action, market monopolization and program assassination, will be called out for what they are.

I would love any suggestions, but the best thing would be for any legitimate patient and caregiver in Rhode Island to call their representatives today and prepare to speak tomorrow. Use the helpful suggestions found in this forum and don't be afraid to respectfully demonstrate how brilliant you are.

If they restrict the dispensing of our meds to CC only then they must allow any person that has a solid business plan a CC! The fee to operate must be lowered to $100 per patient. I would love to open a small CC. I have a BofScience in Business Admin and there's no jobs. I would love to Own/Operate/Grow by myself and have low expenses= low cost meds! my problem $5000 fee and the FEDS. They day the state says only CVS/RiteAid/Wallgreens are the only pharmacies, is the day this bill should be passed(which would be never)!

Be wary my friend, the feds are closing CC's in Montana and Michigan. Soon to be on to other states, could be RI. Where will we be if they take away our right to grow and close the CC's. Looks like we are in for a long one, anyone attending tomorrows' hearing, please give a brief synopsis of the night. Solidarity!

Yeah man thats what im saying if they take away our rigjts and then the feds shut down the c.c. wtf are we supposed to do. So i will be attending the hearing today ill keep posting through out the hearing. Im real good at reading people, meet too many diffrent people in my time not to be good at it. Based on what i was informed last night the committe today most likely will pass it. But the word is the senate wont, we will see. All i know is the feds arent fucking around. Someone last night had correspondence from the feds stating we are going after distributors not private gardens. When u attend meetings your opinion of the program greatly changes because u really see it helping sick and hurting people. Anyways im on it ill keep yous updated. Oh and word is montana program is on its way out do to scandles ect. I believe they are rewriting the law as we speak.

This bill is being introduced to "corner" the MMJ market cause they think that they are gonna get rich. These are the idiots that believe it is really $400-$500 an oz. too. This is R.I. though and greed & dirty back room deals by local lawyers & politicians are the norm. The state police are providing their muscle as a back-up. So these legal gangsters that've run this state forever are trying to get in on the act but they want ALL the $$. I believe they'll fall by the wayside but I work all day and didn't make it to the statehouse to fight back. Anyone got any results?!?!/

So True! I need to look into how many people showed up last year. I know it was not nearly as many as this year.... This community grows stronger every day lets keep it up.
