Eso's pheno hunt

I figured I'd post the tangerine powers by sin city here instead of starting a new journal.

I transplanted the seedlings out of the 16 oz cups and into a gallon pots and so far so good.

The far right plant is a bean from an outdoor goji og plant that I'm hoping crossed itself and didn't get hit by random pollen. The other three are tangerine power.

I'm hoping that I get at least one male and one female of the tangpow, as I'm calling it. If the goji is female I will assume it was selfed until it flowers out enough for me to tell for sure.

Here is a link to all of my grows I've posted here over the years.

I may have had more but there's most.

Ok so my current plan is to pollinate my four grapes 13, sparkling berrywine cut, orange funk cut and purple miyagi cut with a male grapes 13. The male is solid but would not have been my first choice if I had more to choose from.

Grapes 13 creations: Sparkling wines #13, orange funk #13, purple miyagi #13 and grapes 13 f2 x4

I'm going to keep the sparkling berry wine cut indefinitely because she's solid all around, I've taken a few puffs off her wet uncured buds and she has a similar flavor to blue dream but better in my opinion, hazey berry undertones which will probably come out more with cure, same huge yields of coated frosty nugs. I'll pollinate SBwine with the male tangpow if I get one.

I will also hold one cut of my orange funk (oregon oranges) cut because it has a great flavor wet and uncured but has no kick with large buds so I need to cross her with the tangpow in order to get anything workable out of her, but she will blend nicely with TP in my opinion which should give much larger yields to the tangpow or frost to the Ofunk?

If I find a nice grapes 13 she will also be around for a tangpow dick down along with the goji bean. Tangpow og, tangpow g13, sparkling tangpow wine, and tangpow funk (double Os)

Sick dude, very keen to watch this dank unfold! Those babies are looking good already!!
Thanks Mo! Once I get seeds from the tangerine power x my orange miyagi cut I'll make you up a care package to send down under! It'll be a few months out but I'll get you some miyagi seeds and some of the grapes and tangpow crosses.

They seedlings are doing much better than the poor grapes 13 did, I think the Tupur coco mix was too old and had dried out too much and I didn't recondition the mix like I should have. I made sure to soak the mix real well hours before I transplanted these girls and I'm doing better at keeping them watered but not too watered.
The mystery goji og is far right the other three are tangpow

All but 1 grapes 13's clones have rooted so if I find a grapey resin covered girl I'll keep her around or else I'll let the 4 females go since I'm making f2 with them anyway, plus I still have 6 or 7 grapes 13 beans left so I got plenty of chances to find a grapey or otherwise interesting pheno.

I'm not sure what beans I'll be popping next or when I'll pop them. I know the berry wine cut will be a stable till something dethrones her. I'm hoping I'll find a descent grapes 13 out of the 4 and something descent out of the next round up which will be 3 tangpow and a mystery goji bean, I'm hoping is just a selfed s1 and not random pollen from god knows where.

The orange cut of miyagi will only be around till next flower group when I can hit it with possible tangpow pollen, if no tangpow male then I'll just kill the orange cut because she is weak sauce in the potency department.

I am super excited to see the offspring that berrywine creates, she is really nice. Big frosty buds hazy berry flavor and grows well. She will be a good match for grapes 13 and tangpow pollen, I'm hoping lol. I figure since berry wine came from same genetics as my two orange phenos then there is still some cotrus to match up with the tangpow.

I definitely need more room.

Oh mate, that would be awesome! Thank you!!

Good to hear you sussed out the coco, those new girls are on point already! I'll be interested to see what you come out with these new ones too mate, I'm sure you'll find some more fire!!

The seedlings are coming along but these 4 I used the last of my old bag of tupur and it still looks like the plants are not as full green as they should be but they look good and are miles ahead of the grapes 13 at the same age.

Let it be noted for when you start hearing everyone calling the tangerine power tangpow, I coined it, lol. Cuz you'll be seeing goji tangpow, tangpow 13, tangpow wine and double orange tangpow in the near future. Cheeky little monkey.

From left, tangpow, tangpow, goji, tangpow (looking like a possible male)

The upcoming chuck will be with this bad boy, he'll be chucking a full orange miyagi cut so I should have hundreds of those, he'll also be chucking the 4 grapes females and the berry wine cut but I'll only be hitting lower branches on these so I'm shooting for about a hundo beans off each one.

The male has a sweet sugary menthol smell when I rub the stem, actually the only sweet smell out of all the grapes stem rub. Hopefully he passes the grapes on,

Well I made a few seed purchases from greenpoint seeds recently. I bought pure raspberry kush from cannaventure but unfortunately my money order hasn't made it there yet even though I sent it 2/5, I'm waiting to hear back from greenpoint on whether I should trace the mo and hope it's not cashed so I can get refund or maybe the letter will show up still?

My second order from GPS was for their bodega bubblegum (indiana bbgum x stardawg), I sent money order 2/12 and GPS received and shipped it friday.

Just picked up GPS's iron horse (kosher kush x stardawg) just now at auction for just shipping, through the nugget program Gu has going, genius.

The kosher kush has me intrigued because I had a jamming pheno of sour kosher and I'm hoping the iron horse is similar.

Sounds like some fire strains in your collection now mate! Look forward to seeing what you come out with. That Kosher intrigues me too, seen some real fire pheno's of it!!

The plant on far left is tang pow and is one orange lemon citrus smell seedling. Just a pinch of the stem and my fingers were stinking like strong orange funk, stronger that my orange cut so far but neither of my orange smelling miyagi cuts smelled in veg.

The 2nd from left is another TP and looks like it has preflowers that look more male than femle but too early to tell

3rd from left is goji that I believe is self and is showing two preflowers that are calyxes minus pistil

Far right is tang pow, the other 2 TP are squatter and darker green, this one is slightly taller and lighter green, plus leaves are slimmer and less round, no preflower yet.

In front are the grape 13 clones and they are much happier than when they were seedlings, that new growth is only a few days old and looking like I'm used to with tupur. Should be chill from here on.

These two tang pows are the mating pair, they both have that orange smell when rubbing their stems and both are clearly the same pheno. I'm stoked cuz the male has tighter node spacing and is slightly more vigorous. The "male" has what I am fairly positive are male preflowers but the female does have a pistil showing so fuck yeah!

Female on the left and male on the right

Here is the (left) goji og s1 showing calyxes but no pistils as of yet (right) tang pow #3 is a slightly different pheno than the other 2, lighter green, taller and different looking leaves as well.

I was thinking the smaller two in first photo would be blue power leaning until I crushed their stems a few days ago and caught a whiff of orangeness. So now I'm guessing the taller one is blue power leaner? Only one way to find out, flip. Soon

Fuck dude, that's unreal luck to have two identicals in so few seeds, awesome stuff hey!!
I guess after all the trouble with the grapes 13 the Gods of growing have thrown me a bone, lol. I plan on keeping this male tang pow in clone form until I get a chance to test his offspring in case I like what I see.

As long as shit works out like I plan, I'll have those grapes 13 crosses end of my current flower cycle, April-ish, and I'll have the tang pow f2 and goji cross end of next flower cycle, May-ish. Once those beans are collected I'll make you up a care package. Cheers Mo

Well my orange smelling female TP#1 is not a side brancher. All the other seedlings have plenty of side growth to cut clones from but tp#1's side branches are only an inch at the longest.

I even topped all the seedlings which increase side growth on the other 3 but not so much #1. She'll take a long time to veg but I'm guessing she'll be worth it. On the other hand the other girl or possible girl TP#3 is vigorous and has plenty of side growth. Hopefully she has the goods over #1 but #1 has the stench.

I'm thinking of throwing these girls in flower on Mar 1 to make sure they're done beginning of May. I was thinking of vegging till current run is done but not sure.

The girls are humming along. I think I will transplant them into 3 gal pots and let them veg another week or two before flower. I know TP1 will probably need more time but, since my current flower run is fucked up because they're in the tainted tupur, I'm probably gonna need month rotation. We shall see.

Tang pow #3, largest most robust TP, a lot of side branches, no orange smell on stem rub but should be descent, most likely/possible female.
20180115_203506.jpg
Tang pow #2, good orange smell stem rub, good node spacing, showing male flowers
20180123_163445.jpg
This is the goji s1, good node spacing, large fan leaves, showing pistils
back neck.jpg
Tang pow #1, orange smell stem rub, she smells good but has horrible node spacing and the biggest limb I could cut for a clone is only 3" the others are too small to cut a clone from so I imagine this girl is going to be incredible, lol. It'll take a month and a half to veg her big enough to get side branching.

I'm so hoping that TP#3 is a female and has great taste because I'm sure it'll yield.
