Enhanced spectrum...is it worth it?

I am currently using a 250W HPS putting out 28,500 lumens. I have a hydro setup, its about 1 square meter. There are 6 6" netpots that are positioned on the corners of a hexagon shaped rez and I've never done an indoor grow but the netpots seem to sit pretty close. I'm thinking they are going to grow into eachother and greatly reduce the light available to the lower branches. Anyway my question is do you think it would be a good investment to buy an enhanced spectrum bulb putting out 35,000 lumens for my 6 plants or should I just use mylar to redirect wasted light to the lower branches. P.S.- How far (horizontally) from the main stem do you think a mature plant would grow?

for a square meter 250 watts of HPS won't be enough. you want at least 50 watts or 7000 - 10000 lumens for a square foot. maybe buy another 250 watt HPS light or some CFLs?
