Wasting billions on 8.2 million marijuana arrests between 2001 and 2010.
Costs are now only $273,926.00
A DAY, or
$1,917,482.00 A WEEK, or
$5,752,4460.00
A MONTH
These are just the tax burden figures.
There are a lot more costs and they aren't all financial... USA-1

Legalize and tax it IMHO. I think this is the favored viewpoint from anyone who doesn't have money invested in pharmaceuticals or lumber companies, or that of the brainwashed and uninformed.

thats all? i would have thought it was double or tripple that.
they run 3 helicopters an armored truck and about 30 officers in cars, 4 wheelers and trucks for a week straight in sept around here. thats one tiny county (and a poor one, poverty stricken) in one state (the poorest in many ways i don't mean poverty this time) that is not known for growing and they never find much either. few hundred plants for that much equipment.

i bet we give more than 3.6 billion to fight (or grow) cocaine in columbia and also to fight (grow??) poppies in afganistan
