Hey Doc sorry to highjack this thing but I finally called DGT got a location to just pick up the seeds in Ottawa so looks like its gonna happen. Just wondering what would be your choice of strain? My wants are a kick me on my ass, forget about my back, go to sleep kinda deal lol. I got my mids covered with the auto's I pulled last week so now I need the elephant killer lol.

Oh Zone has turned many veteran smokers green.
You can't go wrong with Chemdawg.
Endless Sky is a bit too early for me to tell but it looks to be a real winner for both my patients and myself.

Actually Oh zone is kinda scary lol. But yes Chemdawg looks nice. F35 was going to be my pick due to the time factor but he's out for a couple of weeks. Thanks Doc, getting a list of whats available tomorrow.

I like f35 a lot but i cant seem to get a clone of it without it autoflowering on me. I guess the stress of cloning is too much for it but maybe OMS could help us on that.
Chemdawg is just flat out excellent. Its one of those strains that should make the "all time great" list. Its has great taste, potency, and yield.

oh zone is the only strain that has given me a white out using the volcano..

it is far from scary though..scary is trippy sativas ..this is way far from that

f35 needs 24 hrs on and the right pheno with lots of light to keep clones

chemd is just excellent..but the iran diesel crosses are crazy good in doors too and are cheaper

The remainder of the plants came down on day 65 and are pretty much dry. I will wait a bit more and take samples to the lab for testing.

I will also get some dry pictures up soon.....and then the smoke report.

Thanks Doc, looking forward to it! Also getting excited about the OhZone lol. Hopefully I will be cloning a few this run and hopefully its not to strong that I'll be walking around clueless. Have you done a lab report on the OhZone?

It tested in the 20% range. I have it posted in the OZ journal.
That just goes to show you that lab results don't tell us everything. I have many strains that test the same or higher that do not do the same things OZ does when smoked. It must be the Chemo that does it.

I hear ya, the many combinations effect the high. High THC for me does not = most effect. I typically make extracts with half my bud and jar the other, totally different effect.

Hi Gruber.....first off, a very nice job as always. The plant looks different than what I had grow out????? I'm wondering, as a previous poster had mention, was GreenThumb able to round up the "old" genetics from someone who maintained an old version? I grew the feminized version when I did them and I think you grew regular beans right? Just doesn't look like the strain I did.......

I'm seeing a lot of negativity regarding DGT's strains :o. I look forward to finding out for myself if they live up to the price and description but yes I have read many threads that say he lost many of his key moms and pops. The pheno's seem quite varied but can that not be explained by them being S1's, which I understand throw more pheno's than a regular bean. Is this wrong? I'm thinking the key for me to find the "one or two" keepers is grow each plant out before deciding which to keep. Better start expanding the clone/veg area lol.

ive never read that he lost key moms and pops except from 1 or 2 people but that was only in regard to Endless Sky, which i don't believe anyway. In my opinion you find very little variation in GT strains. Grower after grower remarks on the consistency from plant to plant which in my understanding is a hallmark of S1's.

Yes, its a good idea to grow them out before deciding which to keep.

Thanks.

I grew the fems the same as you did and i had early veg problems the same as you and a number of other people. It would seem odd to have such a coincidence happen regarding problems in early veg from completely different plants, wouldn't you think?

My 2 plants have what appears to be different bud structures but they taste exactly the same. The high seems the same as well. From the pictures Ive seen, one of them looks exactly like the official picture on Doc's site and the other looks exactly like the pictures in Doc's customer photo gallery.
Looks to be the same plant he has had pictured on his site for many years.
I have seen plants react to the environment and look vastly different then i thought they should....maybe that explains what happened to you???

As for the Mod you mention that talked to Doc.....you're talking about Research Kitty correct?
Wasn't RS found to be a fraud or something like that? Didn't it turn out that RS was in fact two different people? Its telling that no matter how hard i look I cannot find any quote from an email or even any real detail of a phone call from Doc that RS posted. Just RS telling us she/he had a phone call in which Doc told her this story.

Doesn't it seem odd to you that Doc would tell someone on the phone this story only to deny it to everyone else? Why did he tell her that in the first place?
I think RS was very transparent in her/his bias against GT. She/he threatened to ban people if they didnt stop insulting others and always turned her head when the insulting came from people she agreed with. I just saw her as an immature person that couldn't keep the story straight.
In any event, I don't think RS was a person above reproach, or even a person to be trusted in the long term.

Now, if im wrong abut RS and have the story mixed up then i apologize for that....but im pretty sure that's how the story went.

I can say with almost certainty that had i not adjusted what i was doing in early veg the plants would have turned out as you described from your grow. They were dying right in front on my eyes and without the help of a guy over at Skunk they probably wouldn't have been anything special and may not have even made the finish line.

For future growers----The advice i was given was that ES likes lots of Potassium in veg. I added some after i was told that and my plants took off and the problems stopped. For the 2 new ones i have going, i treated the soil ahead of time with Bloom food and they look great.

So, is it possible that Doc lost the original and waited years to get it back from said friend?
Sure it is.
It doesn't make a lot of sense to me but anything is possible.

The drama I've been reading may in fact be from the same posters on different threads and forums, havent really paid much attention, I'm in now and no backing out. Lots complain about pricing but the prices do seem to be inline with other strains I have grown that are quality genetics. I'll try and keep a thread going re: progress but its a commitment that I typically fail to keep up. Just think more grow reports (thanks again doc) are a great thing to weed out the rumours.

Yes, yes, yes....it was R. Kitty who I was referring to. It was my understanding it was a husband and wife growing team out of Canada who were mod's here on RIU. They had an extensive basement grow operation with multiple rooms. I don't get involved much in the drama here, and rarely post anymore so I'm not up to speed regarding issues with them. You may be absolutely right though.

Regarding environments, my room at that time was running a bit hot, maybe in the low 80's and that could have had an effect. I think E.S. is also a strain that LIKES A LOT OF LIGHT, more so than others. I think I was running 2200 watts in an 8 X 4 area and thought it could have used a bit more.

Lastly, I don't feel I had any real issues in veg as they were quite healthy and growing really well. My issues began later in flowering and I couldn't get them to finish up. I am beginning to wonder if one of my teenage kids went into the room at night with a flashlight to look around and disrupted the grow cycle- I never asked but they are nosey and it has popped into my mind.

Either way, again nice job. Hope you're feeling well and keep up the great work!

I grew this back 4 yrs ago. Wasn't bad. Nice bud structure but the Dr didn't impress me to much. I love that strong smellin Kush, OG#18, Holy Grail. But BB#3 has a unique smell too

Great thread doc and thank you for sharing. What light did you flower with bud? In beginning of thread you said 400 mh was out so they vegged under 2xx watts, but what bout flower? 400hps? Also how did the yield turn out? Thank you again doc. Have a good labor day weekend.
