"Elite" 1:1 strains?

Hello all, I've played around with a few 1:1 strains but was wondering if there has been any work developing one that has the same frost, terps & bud structure as the modern hype strains, but w/ a 1:1 THC/CBD ratio. I feel like this is a very underserved area. We have friends and family who are older w/ health issues, or middle aged with kids. In both cases the THC only strains are too much... but the 1:1's we've grown thus far have been underwhelming when it comes to smell and flavor. They also haven't yielded well for rosin (but the effects however are incredible). I do have a pheno of Seedsman's CBD Cream & Cheese that has a very promising aroma on a stem rub, but have not flowered her yet. Would love to hear this group's thoughts!

Mel Frank was talking about breeding specifically for this reason like 5 years ago. Idk where he is at with the project. It’s the same video where he says the Durban Poison A isn’t a thing anymore.

Native Sun Genetics/Cartier Crops has a 1:1 strain called Native Tree, that's said to pack quite a punch. I haven't grown it yet but have grown some of their other gear.

I was looking into this a while ago & the "strongest" 1:1 strain i could find based on posted info, is Seedsman CBD Cream & Cheese. Allegedly THC and CBD levels are in the teens.

since there is cbd only strains i would recommend just growing your normal thc strain and a cbd only strain, so then you can mix the cbd with the thc. you can then do 1:1 or 1:2 or whatever ratio you want. plus still have thc only and cbd only bud to smoke.

I've grown a few 1:1s... Cannatonic is by far my favorite (grew her 3 times). Medical Glue from SinCity was good too. But I find the 1:1s are more variable... that is you have a 1/3 chance of getting a 1:1, 3:1, or 1:3... CBD is so cheap to order, I just order that and mix with my THC strains now

The best 1:1 THC:CBD I’ve had are:

Dance World
Cannatonic
Pennywise
Deadlights

If you’re growing from seed, you’ll have to do some hunting to find your personal favorite, but it will be worth it.
Also, keep in mind CBD degrades much quicker than THC, so you’ll want to harvest early to get the effects you’re after.

Best 1to1 i ever had was very similiar to smoking decent but not top grade morrocan hash in effect thats what i started on for reference and was a sweet n sour widow the thing is theres a few versions on the market under that name and it was my friend that ran it so idk what one it was but that was good i aint tried alot of type two plants except from landrace lines myself by type two i mean 1 to 1 cbd to thc stuff vs thc dominant but i can imagine from a medical stand point it could be great for some also another line thats meant to be similar is erdpurt alot of those plants test balanced thc/cbd ratios
