Electricity usage. Flagging the cops

So, assuming 2/3rds of a plants life is in flower and 1/3rd in veg. Going 18/6 and 12/12 averages to 14 hours a day (18+12+12)3=14. So a 1000w light uses 420kw hours a month. 1kwx14x30=420 ( happy coincidence) averaging between veg and flower. The average US hous uses 900kw hours a month. Did I make a mistake in this calculation? Or is running 2 1000W lights risky? How much is enough to flag the electric company?

Everyone has a smart meter these days. I get weekly alerts showing my power usage, kind of bothers me but nothing I can do about it.

Yeah it shows exactly when your lights cut on and off. I just pay the man and keep my head down. So far so goodimage.png
I'm a power hog... :/

That sweet. We do not have that. But our electricity is quite a bit more expensive it looks like.

1: How do these power guys know you have a swim pool

2: How do they know you have Gas or if you are a single guy or have a family..?

cheers

Our city keeps records of what houses have been updated with in terms of gas or electric furnaces. They also know I have an in ground pool since there were permits pulled in order to install it. Having your house appraised will let the city know what you have also. When we purchased our house there was paperwork filled out for the census that lets them know how many live in our house.

Most all of that is public information accessible on line.
