electricity question

Hi everybody. I'm just wondering, if that is possible. One of my M8 tell me he can get one ( I call this BOX in FT), so this box just plug intro the normal 240V socket, and your elc.meter will stop, if that digital, or it will spin backwards if that discs meter. What do you think? I saw one of this think long time ago, it working ( on that part.time) So the next question will be for elect,man if it possible to detect BOX like that. Of course, I will keep my elec.bill on same amount , but for grow(extra electr) i'm planing to use Box like that. What do you think boys?Any chance to detect box like that by elect.supplier company. We all have meter at house, or out side house, in flat or out, BUT do we have ( I mean company) second meter somewhere else? If they come to see meter reading, everything is normal, working perfect. But any chance to detect with out my meter reading, real use electricity? I'm think they will detect that only in April, when time to come calculate TAX. And they will see how many elect was used, and how much was paid + who still must be paid. Any suggestions?

as a journeyman electrician i have never personally seen one but it is possible to affect your electrical meter
however anything that affects your meter will definatly be detectable to the electrical company ... because whatever is being sent to the meter will also pass thru to the primary lines
it is never ok to steal power let alone do it while you are growing ... just pay your bill and avoid getting jailed

If the 'stop' signal makes it from your socket to the meter, it will go past the meter and back to the power company.
(maybe. signal loss)

Its a scam, look on you tube.

some of the basic rules of indoor growing are
1,tell no one
2,control odor
3, be a good neighbor
4,never steal power or do anything to atract attention.

my advice is to pay the extra and not have the worrys of staelin power.
even if this device does work it will be detectable to the power co as they have monitor links to the power company esp digital meters. its just not worth it to save a few bucks.

I don't know anything about that device but I will also agree that you better just pay your bills and stay under the radar that way. The number one reason people have been getting busted for the last several years is from stealing power.

Even if the box did work, and if it didn't send out a signal that could get back to the power company or show up on the line anywhere it would still throw off the power usage on your circuit and they would come looking for the loss at some point whether it was from this or just from bypassing the meter, and it's very very easy (like takes two seconds) to see how much current is actually going through a line versus which meter is wrong. When the meter at your local substation says that x number of kw/h are being used but all the downstream bills add up to x-1 they think two things. Either A, there's a problem with their lines they need to fix and they go look for it or B, there's a theif, and they need to go look for him(you).

Instant warrant by the way.

All they have to do is to send a person out to check it, and they work very very hard to look for problems in their lines all the time, so you can get hit just from a random checkup even if you aren't drawing any large amount more than you should at all.

You can grow a long and steady life's worth if you just play it safe and be nice and be legal with everything else.

What's actually inside these things anyone know?

One wrench to toss in the works is solar/wind power. They can stop or reverse a meter. Just a thought.

But yes PAY your bills. Needlessly adding to the felonies isn't a good idea.
