Eggshell break down time line

I've looked all over the Internet and I can't seem to find how long it takes for finely ground up eggshells to break down and soil and be absorbed by a plant to correct calcium deficiency? I understand that it's a slow release nutrient however when can I start to see uptake of the mineral as I have a few leaves that are starting to show calcium issues in early flowering.
My thoughts on "how long":
If your microbial herd is fully healthy, it should be able to mine whatever amounts of calcium the plant orders from upstairs, whenever. Following that logic, if you are seeing calcium deficiencies, maybe you just need to reinnoculate with microorganisms. :bigjoint:

a great place to get calcium is shells, sea shell, crush up in motar and pestil, but you have to sun dry them first, then throw in you compost pile..

not all shells are equal. some are made of mostly silica!
true, dried sea shells are, its they're primary in material they use in compost break down

also here is the makeup of egg, and egg shell

Egg 2.25 0.4 0.15
Eggshell (burned) - 0.43 0.29
Eggshell 1.19 0.38 0.14

i know, i'm just waking up myself...sorry....like you said silica is one of the basis of a shell, but what actually makes it hard and resilant is the cacium deposits it has in it, during dring, both silica and calcium brakes down, makes a wonderful addition to soils.

I just eat the egg shells about a pound at a time ...then I shit into a small bag and dump it into my compost pile before I stomp it in with my bare feet .........you could skip shitting into a bag and just shit straight into the compost pile ...I just use a bag because I like to stand on the toilet seat and aim for it on the floor ......you could also use a shovel instead of your bare feet to mix your egg shell infused fecal matter into the pile ...........but the main thing is to realize all I said above was made up ...just to maybe make someone laugh/smile ......

I heard egg shells attract ants ....but idk ....

i'd just dissolve some d-lime into some water and go with that
if it's indeed calcium deficient
but make SURE it is...
many, many things can mimic that

my favorite calcium nutrient is comfrey
by far\
that coupled with some insect or shrimp/crab meal and you'll never have any cal defs
mmm comfrey all over the place!! :D
I just checked on mine today, the root ball is so massive I actually may be able to divide them up -- Have you ever tried cutting the top 5cm off horizontally with a spade?? Like capping a softboiled egg?!
Just read about that the other day and wasn't quite sure?
But there's no way I am going to dig out the roots, they probably extend to the center of the earth..

yes you got the idea, lmao looks like fun :D
But I couldn't, as I couldn't ever get them out of the ground to toss em up like that haha
So I'll go for a less spectacular variation, which will involve bums up manual digging :P
Cheers! :blsmoke:

Wussy..lol jk..well see my friend always has a huge shrimp dinner thing and I was just gonna ask him to save the peels....cause he peels every fucking one.....it doesn't matter if I get a half a cup its free...amd the Chinese restaurant route ......might be kinda "gnarly"....but i think gutting a gut shot deer beats washing off some crab juice or w.e...drying it and blending or composting it.
..and btw I was made to gut that deer cause I put a bad shot in it..."teaching me a lesson"..i just field strip em and leave the rest unless its a nice buck
