Haven't seen many on here. Just finished building a new set up. Wonder Woman and Skunk Original #1 be the Strains. 3gal. Fabric with 80/20 Coco- Perlite. Lucas Formula Maxibloom Dry / RO.

you done wonder woman before? heard it's a pretty killer strain
Bought a 5 pack Fem'd. Killed the first with the light, second was a Mutant. Read the same thing. Says it's Great for Scrog. May need to do it alone on my screen. 2x2.

I made one like that an tweaked it over the years I made a wood table to hold the concrete tub above the reservoir, so it's easy to do res changes, but using coco and perlite you shouldn't have to flood so often, needing less res changes saving some water in the process

Saw a vid of a set like what you describe.. My lid system can lift off screen, tub and all if needed. Pond pump is my first choice to empty it. I did Cherry Tomatoes in 80/20. They did Great on 1 flood per day. Had to go to 2 per day when it was 100 out. Never done 2 plants under this screen. Hope by flipping at 5 or 6 weeks there is plenty of net.

Have you done recirculating sytems on coco before? I don't like the idea in coco since EC once ran through coco can be high. Why not stick to inert mediums like hydroton, that would get better results than keeping coco piss wet and risking EC problems.

Ran it with the Peppers. Kept the pH on track and had no issues with those. Think if I went with a higher percentage of Perlite, the EC/PPM issue would be less?

Possibly, I just know coco can be all over the place with the run off because of the K it contains which I assume is released over time raising EC.
When I water mine with 1.2EC the run off can be 2.2EC and that's pre buffered extra washed and ran at low EC with lots of run off.
That's why I don't trust it with recirculating methods, since you can adjust your res but never know how much K ratio is to other nutrients.

My advise for what your doing, shit loads of air under the canopy or the humidity rising from the pots and tray are going to give you some serious problems.
Or cover the tray with panda film as this will help keep the humidity under control. But still get air under the scrog.

I'm in Arizona... Humidity is NEVER an issue here.

You can do a scrog screen with just about any hydro setup..... The most important part of the grow is how you fill the scrog screen..... Scrog is not just growing a plant through a screen..... Its about not growing a plant through a screen, until you let it...
This is the best thread on riu that illustrates that technique..

This will be my 6th Scrog. Ya learn a little more technique on each one. This is the best tutorial IMO..http://www.growweedeasy.com/scrog-tutorial I like doing them DWC. This is just a new attempt for me. It's finally cool enough here to go back to my Grow Room, and ditch the Bathroom I use in the summer.
