They are stretching like mofuggas.

Not a big fan of the strain already. Its almost doubled in height and its just started budding. slow onset.

Definitely like my girl scout cookie haze better.
one of my seeds sprouted but the seed never split apart to release the leaves. other one is fine so far, doing nice in my little aero starter unit.

is this the phantoms you are having trouble wiht?

i finally got my philips ballast and 315 bulb from advanced tech. not sure if the t12 style bulb is this big, but the mogul based one is f'ing huge. gonna try to wire it up and try it out in my knockoff luxor hood this weekend.

So they drop a restocking fee on me and offer as an alternative me paying the shipping which is cheaper. I say no and we settle on splitting shipping
Ill never go thru those fucks again.

Guy was saying normally they test returns before they send out replacements but was doing me a favor sending a new before receipt. They also charge you for diagnostics on the non defective units and make u pay for shipping back.

Im the customer. If it doesnt work as described for me, the one whose house could catch on fire, then that should be it. Not my fault they cannot replicate the issue.

New one didnt make the noise when Ibwas on the phone with them but I fired it up again later and it made that noise. Lame. Also the one that was working solidly for the past 3 weeks 24/7 i finally ahut down and restarted after some cool down time to find it makibg that noise as well. I let it run and the noise went away once the bulb and ballast warmed up.

Weird. I also left the new one running and the noise went away as well.

On the CMH thread on icmag pthers were saying theirs were making like a buzzing hum noise so maybe this is normal?
All my 315W CMH lights ring. IDC.

i was kinda expecting a bulb the size of the old 400cmh i have. i opened the box and i was like holy shit, all that bulb for just 315 watts? can't wait to test it out soon.

do you burn in these bulbs at all? if so, how long?

What do you light guys think? @ttystikk @dbkick

Aside from I should go COB LED and get a sun system? Just dropped 5gs on new windows for the house and dont have the cash for that and I just bought these from a place who sucks at returns apparently.
I'm looking at sunplix myself. There/s what appears to be a local company putting 315 lights together and they use sunplix.
They boast a patented circuit that prolongs the life of a 315w cmh lamp to 50k hours, the ballast also comes with dimming and boost from 0w to 350w.
Dimming seems ideal since when you don't need as much light during veg dimming will save power and switch spectrum to more blue, boosting in flower shifts to red .
A little research and it turns out this guy has been doing things with the 860 allstart too.

I recognized the guys name and asked if he was connected with Welthink , turns out it's the same guy , not sure why they dropped the Welthink name though.

Dank #5 (#4 seed) Doing great. Getting about 1.6EC

SAM_3122.JPG SAM_3123.JPG SAM_3124.JPG
And this is my overgrown veg. Just chopped pgsc x yeti OG so I moved the Fruity Chronic Cookies #1 to the flower room. So there is only clones, Girl Scout Cookie Haze #1 and #2 and the PGSC x Yeti OG clone.

Tomorrow im going to move out a light into a spare room and use that as a temp veg area so I can take clones off of this all before it goes to flower. Though I need pretty much a light setup per plant so maybe ill just buy a 2 bulb t5ho setup. Or use my t5ho with only the 2 bulb ballast.

The Dank #5s should be finishing up in 3-4 weeks.

WTF for ? wtf am I supposed to do with these goddamn badass ballasts and platinum I bought?
There must be some replacement , if not I'll just run DE on those ballasts. Or even SE , they seem to light up any lamp well.

I was kinda hoping it would be replaced with something a lil more like the 315W CMH system.

that would be ok assuming you meant in the 1kw form.
Well right, since they already have the 315W CMH lol

Another option is a 600W class CMH on a LFSW.

Personally, I'm in it for prurient interest at this point; I really think dialing in my COB LED setup is going to pay more dividends.

I'd think a combo of the right lighting would be better suited but I dunno, that's why I run different forms of light on the rail.
Right now it's lec and led, not cob but the right color, not as efficient but I don't give a fuck. They're nice and intense but I consider them the supplement and the LEC the main lighting.

RTFM buddy!
i had to break out the magnifying glass to read the data sheet sticker on the side of the ballast. hope the print in the manual is a bit bigger like reader's digest sized for my shitty eyesight! lol.

one thing i am interested in: the 0 to 10 volt dimming feature of the ballast. i know you just tie them together for full power but curious how you get it to dim. hope philips.com can provide some answers
