I take it when do a res change i need to use either RO,spring, or distilled water right? Cuz my tap water has a high PH an high PPMs not to mention the chlorine they use, thats the only thing i dont have a level on.
I figure if im adding the benes that were made in non chlorine water, i used distilled.. I would have to continue with that or will most of the chlorine come out if i let my tap water for 24hrs before useing it?

Good stuff what was the turn around a day?
Yeah checked earlier snd had new little roots coming out of the net pot. Will report back in a week...

My PH rised to 6.7.... How do i lower my ph without killing the bennies?

I let my tap water bubble for a day before making the tea

I dont think PH down will kill them, i would let it run for a few days an check it again cuz mine was real low like aroun 4.0 an lower one day after i added some stuff for the root rot an after about 1-3 days it went back to 5.0 where i set to i know 5.0 is still kinda low by other peoples standardes an by other artcles i read but my plants seem fine with it i do plan to try to run a 6.0 in my res nex time tho but the plants im doin this tea stuff for are so far out of whak im just like experimenting to see whats gonna work for me i only have 3 running right now in DWC cuz if the heat we had an i got like about 13 running in soil those are doin fine about to flip em to 12/12 soon an if my DWC ones die for some reason i got more seeds that are in the sprouting stage so i would guess im doin OK. Another thing is when your waiting for someone to answer questions who has a bunch of runs they always take a few days to answer so u have to kinda either wait or experiment till then LOL

TO THE UK GROWERS.

I stressed for ages finding ingredients to match the US but half of the products are unavailable so here is my recipe.

9 litres of water (2 gallons) let it bubble for 24 hours (this is overkill) just to get rid of the chlorine.

1tbsp of Great white i paid £13 for a smaller pot

2 handfuls of Plagron mega worm £6 for 5L (Biobizz make one as well)

3/4tbsp of molasses from Holland and Barrett £2

then i have a very large air pump.... the water needs to be going crazy, a small aquarium air pump will not do.

brewed for 48hours.... job done.
any UK growers need help (this is my first time doing it) perhaps i can answer some of the questions you are asking because i have asked them my self so feel free to message me.

I m here in the US an i did this same recipe but i used a tsp of molasses that an i used distilled water thats it. I jus added about a cup to each of res an the roots strted to grow already a day later, then added about a half gallon yesterday cuz its been airing for 48hrs at that time. Everything seems to be goin good. Thanks for the help seriously!

i suppose my next train of thought is... i have a chiller. just wondering if i should ever go back to just ductmaster zone or stick to making a tea and setting my chiller to 72f... seems a waste having a chiller running tbh.

Hey guys,
Is there anything that I can substitute for the Ancient Forrest?
I am having a hard time finding it around here.
Thanks

Any EWC would do like its mentioned above. Just make sure the mix doesnt have other fertilizers like bat guano etc.
Also, sometimes i brew the tea with only GreatWhite and molasses. GreatWhite is somewhat diverse and id brew it to activate it and multiply the population. Obviously adding EWC to the brew would make your bennies population even more diverse and BEST at fighting (or preventing) disease.

Thanks guys!

I also have some SubCulture M and B.
I would think that those 2 could replace the great white, and then some...?
I have some AquaShield too.
And a fresh bag of EWC.
I would think this would make a good tea ?
What say y'all ?
I have a fresh 71 degree res with a new grow and I am in preventative mode... and hope to stay there.

Can tap water be used to sterlize and rinse out all the root rot that may be hiding in the grow medium in lieu of peroxide? So far my roots are stringy and hairy and white and fuzzy at the tips but the root mass above those tips are dirty with some sort of brown/black stuff which is discoloring the root somewhat. I was thinking of using chlorinated water to do a quick flush out of the net pots with the plants in there before moving it to a bucket with peroxide to let soak overnight at 15ml per gal. Ill run 5 drops of bleach in each bucket then start the system up; hopefully the soak will clear up the brown/black pasty gunk latched on to the hairs of my roots. If it doesn't what should i do? My PH has been up to 7.2-7.5 all day long so I've used distilled vinegar to bring the ph down to 5.9. That's why im thinking its more wide spread, the PH on my rdwc keeps spiking up to 7.2-7.5.
