Hiy'all
Im just getting ready to start a first DWC and Im just wondering what nutes everyone is using...? The dude in the shop said bio nutes are a bad idea in hydro systems but I didnt catch exactly why this is.
I found an Advanced Hydroponics starter box which i was gonna pick up today. The 1L grow, bloom and micro isnt bio, but the smaller bottles (Growth/Bloom Excellerator, Root Stimulator, Final Solution und Enzymes) are bio so i didnt get it as im still not sure about this dwc/bio nute issue.
Can anyone clarify?
Any brands that stand out as good dwc nutes...and any to steer clear of?
Thanks in advance guys!

Think what dude at store was meaning was that you can either run a sterlie res or bio/beenies but cant mix them.

I'm currently using GHE Flora trio and am so far happy with it!
If on a budget, Canna CoCo part A & B can be used surprisingly well in DWC but may require addition of calmag.

Jack's 3-2-1. Google it. Simple, cheap and effective! Been using it for 2 years. There are some YouTube videos on it as well. Good luck.

dont forget you have the interwebs at your finger tips. just cuz your shop doesnt have it, doesnt mean you cant get it. amazon or ebay has it too

Why complicate things? Run PH perfect from AN, H2O2, and Big Bud. And like that you'll have a successful crop. Use half the strength AN calls for on their base and full strength on the big bud during the weeks it calls for. And of course use a cal mag...my favorite is Cal-Mag Plus from botanicare(It's nitrogen isn't through the roof)

I like what i see when i look that dyna gro up. gonna keep that in mind. how long have you been running it?
for a few years now. i was a lucas formula guy but was never really happy with how it did in veg but loved how it did in flower.

found foliage pro and it does kick ass in veg and bloom, it's cheap as hell and simple to use.

i'm running it at 2mL/gal and it seems like the plants love it even though the EC is really low. just be careful, it is very concentrated and will burn easily. i think max you'd want is 5mL/gal.

Cheers for the answers guys...yeah normally i do a lot of online ordering but the shipping charges around here (central Europe) are crazy...eg GH Trio pack (3 x 1L)
€37, shipping €20!
Ive been thinking about this: http://www.growshop.at/index.php/nahrung/hesi/hesi-startpaket-hydro.html
It has a main veg/flower nute but im not sure how necessary the other stuff is, my guess is that i can live without it in which case id be better off just getting a three part set up from another company?
Thanks!
