Curious how others perform the final flowering flush before harvesting in a DWC? I'm planning on flushing for a week using ph'd tap water and advanced nutrients flawless finish. Thanks.

If you feel the need to flush then lighten up your mixture in your res. Otherwise those flushing products are a waste of money.

thought most "flushing" stuff for hydro was mostly to clean sprayers, pumps and filters and break up salts

making it easier to clean and reset your hydro for next time ?

In dwc its tricky to use just pure water, you`ll get rot or ph swings fast but if your trying to kill the plant to finish it off that`s one way I guess

I normally swap to just ph`d up water with potassium sulphate @ 400 to 1200ppm kinda depends on the strain

Here is this debate again. Flush dont flush really all up to you but flushing is more of a soil thing not a hydro. You flush soil to get rid of all the old nutes and salt build up and provide fresh nutes. Never buy products to flush either you can do it with water of you're preference (tap, ro, bottled) and finally for hydro you have a few choices. Leave everything alone and let them finish out themselves, step back from nutes slowly or use only ph'ed water. Each has their own benefits

But flawless finish has chelate "claws"

It rips all the bad stuff out of there so you can have less yield and bud that smokes just as good as unflushed weed.

Would the op care to buy a magic hat from me? It will make your weed clean and triple your yield.

no need to flush with hydro. just like everyone else in the thread said. flushing is only done with soil and it's the growing media that's being flushed, no the plant. bro science made the obvious leap in logic.

I disagree use the flawless for 10 days and chop it def helps in dwc ive done it both ways harsh with no flush and curing longer dont help to much after. y not flush, plant laves will fuel the ripen stage gl. Even after 10 days most strains barely fade.

If your herb is harsh with no flush then your feeding levels are likely too high.

Flawless finish is a complete waste of money. It's epsom salts/magnesium sulfate mixed with water. Cannabis growers are just gullible to believe the marketing nonsense from the nutrient companies. If you waste money on Flawless Finish or any other "flushing" product the only thing you're flushing is money down the drain.

A fancy label and cool sounding name. The naive cannabis grower that knows nothing about horticulture is easily parted with his money.

It's amazing all the worthless products people think they need to grow weed. Some of the biggest reasons people have crappy grows is from using all the unnecessary crap marketed by nutrient companies. That and from watching some hack that doesn't have a clue youtube video's.

I am running a dwc set up and I have done it both ways. I feel like flawless finish doesn't hurt the final product. however I only use it in the last week of my grow. I must say though I don't see any significant difference without it. I usually lighten up on everything except MOAB towards the end because at the end of the grow you typically see a little bit of concentrated nutrients in your resevoirs. This is just my experience though.
