DWC Advice please

Im loooking for some advice on a DWC i want to build . Im thinkin of doing a system in 2 x 189 liter tanks in my tent . I will have the res temps under control . what i need advice on will it be possible to do a few plants in each tub the dimension of the containers are 110x54x45 (LxWxH) Im thinking of doing either 2 or 4 in each 1 . Will the roots strangle each other in there?
Any other possible problems that i might encounter?

You can do multiple in one but it will be easier to do one in each.

The reason i didnt want to do 1 in each is to cut down the maintenance and iv read that its easier to control ph and ppm of larger volumes of water ?
has any1 ever tried this ?

if i had the space i would get the new 15gal toughbox at walmart and do 1 plant per. perfect size and strength for trees and res will be less maintenance.
