dwc 5 plant bucket.. Is my setup optimal?

dwc+general hyroponics flora series+fan+light.. grew one plant at a time in a cabinet for two years and not once id i have root issues. light proof the res, keep the water moving with lots of air. keep it dark in the res.

during flower expect to add just water up to three times a week. feed once a week. premix in water. mix for 1 gallon and add that to your res once a week. let tap water sit bubbling for 24 hours. mix right before use, rest of week just water.


make a shade out of a poster boar. fit it around your plant and that will block all light.
roll of alinimum tape light proofs nice. 4.98 at walmart.

the most successful setup includes carbon filter. the most i ever got off one plant was 2.5 zips cured. that was 24 hour lighting on an auto in a dwc cab. i grew like that because i had to.keep it ultra hidden. i will grow 4 plants this time in a closet. from now on

i used a 4 inch carbon filter. ran it above the light. ive gotten away with ona gel but nothing beats a carbon filter.

Insulate that shit ASAP. silver bubble wrap works great I hear, I use coolers. But throw in a Frozen water bottle every few days and I think that's all you CAN do

Reflectix is the name of the insulation I was talking about, In some cases I hear it will essentially turn your reservoir into a cooler. Then if you get a water thermometer(or just put a thermometer in a plastic bag and keep it in the Rez. If you track your room temp and Rez temp for a while you'll know when to throw in a frozen water bottle.

For my 5gal coolers(filled a lil over 4gal) I need to change out every 2-3 days I'm sure with 20 gallons you'd be good for a.business week, I don't let it get to the high 70's and I use bottles that are about 2liters.

Also if you want to get really technical and meticulous when you post toke on some headbanger prior to or during said posting. ;p

My passive air intake flow goes around my res to help it stay cool, my main intake brings in cooled air directed at a fan over canopy. My main intake brings around 140cfm while the carbon pulls 400+ so air needs to come from lower venting.

a water chiller could be used in your situation to not only keep ur rest temps down but if you add a radiator to it with a fan behind it you'd also bring ambient air temps down as well.
