dry vs. wet trimming

Haven't been able to find a thread on this. How do the two compare? Is it easier one way or the other? I've only been told to trim dry, but I've seen people on here who trim right away.

I trim right away but I want as much leaf matter as I can get out of the bud and also I have this notion lots of trichomes fall off when I trim dry. I do love dry scissor has though but there's not much scissor hash when trimmed wet. Either you have to trim as you take it off the plant or wait until it is dry because even as soon as 12 hours after cutting the leafs become limp/hard to deal with.

I also split trimming times. Big fan leaves are easy wet. Smaller sugar leaves are easier to cut after they've had a chance to dry for a couple days.

Dry trim= more taste/smell generally Ime.

Wet trim= much easier to deal with than dry trimming.

I tend to choose whether to dry or wet trim depending on how shitty the buds look like they're going to be to trim dry. Trimming around dry haze foxtails is a bitch.
