Dry sift canna honey?

I have been eyeing dry sift as an option for low flavour infused honey. I like to sip a tea instead of smoking or vaping options. Wondering if the community here has tried anything similar?

I have tried water curing, extract craft unit, and plain old flower in the mix with a cheese cloth press. Lots of work on the first two and the later is to grassy. My thought is something like the dabpress tumbler would make things pretty low flavour and minimize the work.

1) Anyone know if I can decarb dry sift in an Ardent device? Open to other options if there is something more suitable.
2) Anyone know the ratio for dry sift to bond/honey for dry sift? I was using an ounce of flower previously.
3) Anyone know how long dry sift can be stored for?

let me know your thoughts, hoping we can raise a happy little mug o earl grey!

What about a tincture then add to tea or coffee
Thanks for reaching out, I tried the glycerin route but it didn’t work out favourably - fully betting this was a user error btw. If I close my eyes I can still taste the fresh cut lawn!

Tried the alcohol version, faired better but finding white lighting is tough. If I can figure out the dry sift option I can make 5 lbs of honey in a couple over a coupl of hours with only 20 mins of actual work.

Thanks man, appreciated the tags! I use a Mighty Fast unit with the bellow recipe, but I am hoping to eliminate the weed flavour. Closest I have managed was running a batch through my extract craft and using the concentrate in the honey…Its a long process

Ingredients:
2-5 cups honey or agave
1/2-1 ounce herbs
1 heaping tablespoon of coconut oil per cup of honey/agave (example: if using 2 cups of honey/agave use two heaping tablespoons of coconut oil)
1 tablespoon soy or sunflower lecithin

I saw the effort pollen tumblers take, and it seems pretty easy. I may be delusional here but it feels like I could run an ounce to sift, decarb and mix the honey, coconut oil, lecithin and be done lickety split…..

Should mention I always felt the extract craft felt like a different high though… more body stone, less euphotic maybe, I prefer the latter or at least a mix….

My first runs were bud and butter based. While I enjoyed the cheese cloth straining and the subsequent finger sampling/clean up, the honey took more bud flavour as it cooled… bit of a catch 22.

If you don't like the gritty taste you can buy co2 extract and use that
thanks!

Considered that, it’s harder to find here. Thought about making my own, but devices are pricey (2-4K) and I am not sure they will stand up over time. Might be more available in future hopefully.

You can definitely decarb dry sift in an Ardent device, as it's well-suited for various cannabis forms, ensuring minimal odor and potency loss. For infusing honey with dry sift, a starting guideline is 1 gram of dry sift per cup of honey, but adjust based on your potency preference. Dry sift can last for over a year when stored properly in a cool, dark, and dry place, in an airtight container to maintain its potency.

I’ve typically decarbed my material before infusing it, the “burnt popcorn “ taste was off putting. I now use freshly dried plant material and go straight to infusing with coconut oil for 5ish hours. I and others who’ve tried it enjoy the mild fresh cannabis flavor. The effects do seem less as far as body load/couch lock and more motivational “feel good “ head buzz. Now if I want to fully decarb my oil I can bake something like brownies that take 30 minutes, iME , my brownies produce a heavy medicated body buzz and my 10 minute cookies give me a more daytime buzz.
