Drug Testing During Community Service

I was given a traffic violation here in Missouri for possession of 35 grams or under of marijuana. I went to court, and received a "diversion." I must complete 25 hours of community service, without violating any laws, and then the future court date is terminated, and my record is clean. I am 17, and was told by my lawyer that I can still be asked to take a drug test during the period I am doing my community service. I have 10/25 hours done in the 1st week, and haven't smoked since the day before court. I can definitely wait it out until I finish, but I would like to smoke.

Focus: Do you think I can be asked to test during this period, or did my lawyer just tell me this to keep me out of trouble?

Complete your community service fast and just tell them you smoked before you were placed on that court order and havn't since if you get tested. If its been obviously enough time to be clean already then don't smoke till its over. Not worth the risk of having a drug conviction on record + extra fines + extra jail over not waiting another week or 2. :wall:

Edit: If they plan to do the saliva test on the spot to see if you smoked, I believe that doesn't detect it for very long so just smoke after the work, or on days you don't.
