I never had much luck with miraclegrow. The plants look very dark green from the pics, I would hold off on any fertilizer till she perks up some. What is your PH?

the only ph test the store had was some pill u mixed in a vial with some soil and the solution changed color, it was hard to tell, but around 7.5

When you water, use enough that a good amount runs out the bottom of the pot (don't let them sit in that run off though). Don't let them dry out to much between waterings. Get a feel for the weight of a freshly watered one. When the pot starts feeling light it's time to water again. Don't let them dry way out between waterings like a lot of people say to. It will hurt the roots. Skip the misting.

If you've got them in decent potting soil (which it looks like) they're way to young to need any extra ferts yet. I don't think there's anything wrong with using Miracle Grow, it's just to early to start giving it.

What's your light cycle? I'd recomend either 20/4 or 18/6.

Your in soil so don't get overly worried about PH. Take the time to track down and read what "Uncle Ben" has to say about plant moisture stress and peoples fixation with PH when growing in soil.

I'd also recomend you read his "Gardening Tips and Tweaks" thread.

Jack out.

thanks for all the help. Im on 18/6. I usually water about 10 tablespoons every 2 days, water doesnt even get close to soaking through the bottom. I stick about an inch down and there is barely any water, it doesnt last in the soil very long. Would underwatering be a concern? Because its showing signs of overwatering..?

Good Lord man, water the dam thing. You're killing the root system. In fact by now you've probably got so many dry zones in the soil that they probably won't easily re-wet.

What you need to do is set it in the sink or tub and then get a gallon of water, put a few drops of Ivory dish soap in it and then slowly pour the whole gallon on that plant and let it drain thru. And then keep it moist never letting it dry back out.

That plant is not showing signs of over watering. Nor does it have a Mg deficency. If any thing it's got a poor root system because roots won't grow out into dry soil. And if you don't have a good root system it won't matter how many nutes are in the soil the plant won't get them.

Right now that's not a bad looking little plant but if you don't develope a good root system to support it, it won't turn out very good no matter what else you give it. The vegatative stage (which you're in the first part of) is where the plant builds most of it's root system. But it can't do that unless all the soil in the pot stays moist.

What are you using for potting soil?

Yeah a few hours ago i watered it good and the leaves have already perked back up and looking really healthy. I said mg def because there is a yellow crisp tip on one of the older leaves.

Dumb question, but can you blaze around your plant? :blsmoke:
