You are useing Miracle grow, Which it's name speaks for itself. It is a Miracle when anything grows in it. And add 30-40% perlite to the soil. Your soil is not set up correctly, that is your problem.

Why does everyone start out with miracle grow soil for the first try? Go to Hydroponics store and buy FoxFarm soil, and some perlite for drainage, you do not want your soil to hold water like a sponge, the roots never get a chance to breath. Roots also need Oxygen to survive.

yes i should have bought fox farm. And I am using perlite too, But as far as why I am using MG was the nutes in it, Im sure fox farm might have nutes aswell. But That is why and I was not sure how much nutes to use. I would just follow the directions on the container and start the nutes after 20 days maybe.

I used a high ph water 7.2 on a 6" pot and it was wilting b4 and now its like a new plant. so maybe that MG is really lowering my PH.. I needed higher PH all along maybe.. I feel it is PH problem down the bored. I am using 6.8 and the MG lowers it so I might need 7.4.

Im new, but is there anyway to make the mg soil work, where i live a hydr store is unheard of and mg is basically only option. We have home depot and lowes, and 1 farm & supply center. Any suggestions?

i would go to the lowes and make my own soil using some vermiculite, top soil, and some perlite. Miracle grow is just terrible for seedlings, clones, small plants. It is ok for plants larger than 8 inches in my opinion as long as you flush the soil before using to get ph at a good useable level. If lowes doesnt carry than try walmart i know they carry the vermiculite and perlite and am pretty sure top soil as well.

Simple Solution, the problem is with the water, the top of the soil may be dry but the middle can still be wet, I would ask you to not water for about a week, or maybe even more until it perks up, also get a fan on it to keep the problem from happening again, maybe even stem pinch a few stems to get them nice and strong enough to hold themselves up...

MG is mostly ground up bark that is composted. and a lot of it is still in chunks of bark. MG does not drain very well at all, He needs to load the shit out of it with perlite to get it to drain better. This is why I like COCO so much, it drains very well, has no ferts in it, and is very easy to control.
