Hello all, been quite a while since I have posted a journal on this site. I have recently taken control of a room that used to be run by a friend so as things are not exactly how I would have done them it will work for the time being and I will upgrade little things as time progresses.

Anyway here are a few things to know. There is a run in flower now at about 65 days flower. They are currently flushing for 5 days and will be flushing for about 5 more days. These plants where not 100% cared for by me, now the previous grower liked to veg in soil then transplant to perlite top feed hydro, I didn't like this so I set up a 2x4 flood tray for veg, now these in veg now where in soil and doing horrible (fungus gnat infested) I have transplanted to the tray about 5 days ago and they are doing MUCH better. Some before and after pics.

Planning to veg this round about another week then put a screen up to scrog and veg another 2-3 weeks under the 1k's. So things will be allot different on the next run.

First pic is the left over 6 the day I transplanted the 16 in the tray.
Second pic is today about 6 days since transplant.
Third pic is of 1st 4x8 tray in flower today.
forth pic is of 2nd 4x8 tray in flower today.
Then just a few of the flowers.

Sorry for the pic quality, I don't have a good camera but will aquire one soon.

Looks good... I"m switching from coco to perlite myself. Currently running flood and drain but have been experimenting with top feed. Like the choice of nutes also. GH is the shit. Keep the updates coming.

Looks like you salvaged very nicely----well done.

Good looking canopy management-----very clever how you held the limbs up.

Keep us posted,

@Alaric
thank you sir, glad you are tagging along. There was no net on the left tray so I had to improvise. Couldn't tie them all up so some fell down under but most where ok. Vegging plants are looking 100% now and growing nicely. Harvest is well underway now and trimming the last 2 plants today. Will be transplanting these new ladies to the room in the next few days.

@DirtyMcCurdy
Perlite is a great medium, harvest and toss it so glad the days of hydroton are long gone in my life lol. I love gH flora series, I have been running it for years and it is my go to for sure.

Here are a few pics taken today of the Vegging plants. They are all sitting at about 14" now and will be nice once they go under the 1000w's.

^^Beautiful young ladies:clap:

My only gripe about perlite is the color.

Any guesses about yield this round?

As of right now I'm sitting at 10,150g of usable wet product (not including the 2 on the table being trimmed) going by my 20% Calc I would say as of now about 4.5# not including the 2, so all in I would say a little over 5# finished which imo is not great by any means. Next run is all me and my mixes and training and am aiming for nothing less than 6 but if the strain takes well to my training I would like more like 8.

^^Yea, I use the 20% estimate also.

I've recorded the weight of freshly chopped plants (wet stalks, stems, everything except roots) compared to finished consumable product weight.

Care to guess the finished product percentage relative to freshly chopped plant?----- (if you don't know already).

I chop each branch into sections, remove large leafs, sort out fluff, trim then weigh right before they go on the rack so these weights don't include any of the fluff that will be used for butter/edibles or hash. My guess is I will have over a pound if material that will go into those things. Not sure of total plant weight vs finish product although I do dry all the flower bit freeze the trim.

Plants are under the 1k's for about a 1 1/2 weeks so far. They are growing well and looking pretty good thus far still running veg formula and 18/6 light schedule. Hopefully they will fill in withing the next week or so.

Pics of first day in will upload more tonight when lights kick on.
