99% sure it was 2010........... I went back to THCFarmer and found my E.S. grow, which was in early 2011. It had happened before my grow because I ended up with the lousy seeds.

Hey SSHZ, I've found 3 distinct phenos here. How about you? Obviously you've got the real purpling one. I've also got one that feeds heavier than the others and seems to finish a bit sooner. It seems to run into nitrogen and cal-mag deficiencies early too. The other has the stank but doesn't seem to get as big. I've noticed that the purple pheno is far and away the most frosty but the buds aren't as large as the other two. Just some observations.

I still not really sure about the different pheno's......... you got three, huh? I didn't expect to hear that. The room is packed full of stuff and it's difficult for me to tell where 1 plant starts and another finishes right now. When I start to harvest, I'll take individual pic's of each to help identify each down the road. Lots of purple I've noticed too. I stopped fertilizing 14 days from harvest so loads of colors coming out now, less than a week from harvest.

I tried sample 4 last night, and it was the best yet. So sample 1 and 4 were fantastic, samples 2 and 3 were not as strong. I had a tough day moving my daughter to a new apt and last night, 2 bong hits put me OUT for a nap. Still very high hours later........

Took some pic's tonight..........

Pic 1.......lower buds on a super purple Bubba plant. Night time temps have been 63-65 degrees.

Pic 2.......the most resinous bud I could find of the Bubba.

Pic 3.......another purpling plant in the room, G13 Labs Blueberry Gum. I grew them as a lark actually, but they turned
out VERY tasty and a nice sativa high.

Idk how anyone calls his seeds fake. When I see pics of real verified pre98 bubba, the purple picture you posted at the end of the last page. And this one you posted at the end of here show 100% Bubba to me. Idk how people even argue it. No OG Kush I can't recognize too well, so idk how to tell the traits in it, other than small dense buds, but that's what Bubba does too. But I see the bubba clear as day and it looks like straight fire. Great grow man. I can only hope my grow I'm just starting turns out similiar! Phenomenal plants, I hope my patient enjoys it!

Thanks mucho. A few comments: 1) I pinched every plant once which contributed to bushier plants- another wards, no center cola so smaller buds but more of them; 2) each pic above is from a different plant so you can see the uniformity; 3) there is loads of color in the plants but they are really "darkening" to purple, almost black in some lighting. I think it's been 12 days now of no fertilizer, night temps are low 60's (degrees) and I've been watering with "colder" water and 4) Feb or March's High Times had an interview of the "real" Bubba guy and the history of his Kush, etc. He mentioned he thought it was funny when people relate back to the pre98 Bubba, which he says there is NO SUCH THING. He goes into great detail about it- a very good read.

I went back and found the article.....October, 2013 High Times under the title "The Birth of Bubba Kush"......basically he's saying it's nonsense that the early Bubba is any different than the later one offered. The strain came to be in 1997 and no changes have been made so for others to claim to have the "pre98" Bubba is ridiculous and untrue. For me, I could care less the when and where of it all.....just give me the "goods" and I'm happy.

read the comments below...sounds kinda fishy.
i read the article when it came out in high times, and pretty much like everything else in high times, i took the story with a grain of salt.. so ok, h/t's found some dude named bubba who claims to the be the og breeder of bubba kush.. they pretty much could have come to my house and i could have said some of the same things, but everyone knows i'm not the og breeder of bubba, much less anything else, lol..
that's the thing with cannabis and the fact that it's illegal, no one knows much about pretty much 90% or so of modern strains.. mostly it's all heresay, i know someone who knows someone whose uncle knows the brother of the guy kind of stuff imo.. kind of like how a lot of people say that the og in og kush stands for ocean grown.. i don't buy that one for a red second either as since when has ocean grown every been any sort of term?
/ end of rant.

This is been debated for a while, but "OG" could mean:

1. Ocean Grown (it's debated whether it means near the ocean or "sea of green" style of growing)

2. Original Gangster

3. Orangutan Ganja (Buddism teaches Buddah smoked with monkeys)

4. Organically Grown

5. Overall Great

Just pick the one you like most..........
