Dorm Fridge Grow #2

Should I start giving them "bloom nutes" this Wed when I do the water change? So many questions...
when i used to use a 3 part flora solution they recommended a gradual shift of nutrients from high nitrogen to none at all at the end of the cycle, but with dyna-gro i would probably just switch it to bloom, they seem to have got everything covered in the mix..just use a 1tsp per gallon mix

Yesterday was nute day and the ladies got their first feeding of bloom nutes. I only mixed them at half strength. PPM's were 395.I'll wait to see what happens. The LED's have really helped with the temps inside the fridge. Highest temp I have seen since installing it has been 79.2 degrees. The main cola on the Critical plant has grown above the SCROG net in the past 2 days. After this grow is done I think I will lower the net for better results. Will try to get some photos later on today. Today makes 5 weeks since the first leaves appeared on both plants. The Haze plant has caught up with the Critical in height and bushiness. Have a great growing day! :joint: :hump:

I love that this is in a fridge. Gets to hot just plug it in, haha.

Looking good man. Have you noticed any difference with the LED? As far how they are stretching or staying tighter

I think the first thing you notice is, it is very bright for this small space. 2.8 cu/ft with a HTG 50 w triband led fixture. It seems that it is a whole different spectrum of light and just as bright as the CFL bulbs. Light cycle wasn't changed since they broke through the RW cube.Temps is the biggest difference I have seen, so far. I fed bloom nutes last night, and will check water after the lights come on. I will check for growth towards light since the pistils have come out on the Critical plant.

Checked on the ladies this morning. Had 3 stretchers that have made it into a space in the net. I am going to try and get buds up through each square of the net. A lofty goal so here we go. Will try to get some photos later on.

I added a pH probe last night after I calibrated it. Added top off water and it has been 5.74 for 12 hrs. Just something to check when your bored. I was amazed with what I saw this morning :hump:

Missed out on yesterday's update. A trip to have taxes done and wasn't really in the mode, anyway I thought I'd get a couple of shots that weren't under LED's.

I think that it has proven it worth just for the temp it keeps. Is it enough light to produce fat frosty ladies, we'll see. It may be the perfect balance of light, ventilation, temps, and nutrients for the size space that it is in. It is just experimental growing anyway.

Looking good man! How's that led going for you? I'm gonna need to switch to led. How far above your plants is it? Have you experienced Any bleaching?

Maybe I've been lucky this time around. First making a change in the middle of the grow by changing the lights, CFL to LED? It did wonders for the temps. Cutting back the nutes to half strength and watching the water parameters a little closer. Trying to take smaller steps this time than giant leaps.

Right now the fixture is as high as I can get it. I can't see any signs of bleaching of the leaves. It is only a 50 watt fixture, so that may save me due to height restrictions. I plan to let them go as long as needed and will be feeding 1/2 - 3/4 strength nutrients. I also give them a shot of CO2 when the light first comes on.

I may do a little bending and tying, but I ain't cutting nothing yet. I want to see how they react to the LED's and not being pruned.

Been a while since an update, so just to catch everyone up, things are okay in the fridge. Not great as the expectations but okay. Lessons have been learned along the way also.
LED's will bleach leaves, different than a CFL burn.
Never try to grow 2 different plants in the same DWC tub. One will over power the other, nute stealer.
Time ticks by slower waiting for buds to fatten up.

The RQ Haze has small buds that are getting very frosty. Yesterday made 9 weeks since the first leaves appeared. The RQ Critical has yet to show any bud growth. A lot of vertical growth, Hope that one will finish in the next 2 to 3 weeks and the other will start budding. It will give me more room for sure.

NOTE TO SELF ON NEXT GROW!!! Just one plant at a time until grow space can be increased. Will try to get some bud porn later on today.

Happy Easter to you all! I don't have egg photos but something just a little better. Also to kick off 420 day some bud porn from the "Fridge"
Last update was 8 days ago for a comparison in the Critical bud. Tomorrow will be 11 weeks since I put them in the fridge.
