Don't buy this Digital Micro Scope.

I purchased this 2 mpx digital usb scope on Amazon. It would work well for working on electronics, but the color is terrible. It is of no use for checking trichomes unless I have a faulty scope or did something wrong. I don't think so though..

I'm not totally happy with mine either, colors do suck and barely got to use mine and had to mess with the stand so it would stay positioned

I got one for my iPhone 4s for like 8 bucks. Works great.
Yes, I have that one, but I can't really see what's going on with the trichomes. I just see a bunch of sugar. I want to be able to see the tops, judge cloudy/amber etc. I sit and stare at my trichomes for hours and still can't figure them out. I have samsung phone though so it doesn't attach tophone which makes it a balancing act. I have to stand on one toe, balance my camera and hover the scope over the camera lens while trying not to breath :)

I tried to add a link but this POS ain't letting it happen. It's on amazon as iPhone 4S 100x Zoom

I have what is called an SVP DM 540 - 500x Digital Microscope Camera. It cost around $50 on Amazon and works great. You actually only need 20-30x to see the trichs in a good way. Here's a couple examples, Peace

That is so cool. Takes the guessing out of the trichome game...

After growing for a minute or two, you kinda know when it's just her time anyways ...if you know what I mean. It really helps me a lot, because I harvest each plant in 3 stages and it pinpoints it to my level for the entire harvest that way. Everyone has their own preferred level, whether its 20%, 40%, etc. amber. I like 30% myself. Peace

Yea, it's like the $110 ph meter I never use. I used it for the first few weeks and learned a lot about my water and PH of my nutes etc.. Now I rarely need it unless i am trying to lower PH drastically.

Pictures as requested..

Microscope: USB Celestron Microscope. Model Number 44302-A

1) Pest ID, Fungus Gnats (I think)
2) Sugar leaf off of c99.

Good: It has lighting for the scope, ok quality.

Bad: Difficult to focus on and hold item steady, Software not so good... When going full screen on a zoomed item, it digitally zooms the item.. ends up looking pixelated.

Not horrible, but I would not pay full retail for this scope.
