Mine also has good pricing on lighting and will make deals with u she always has a few light setups (hoods ballests) that were returned or whatever the case may be, she let's those go well under regular price.. Regular price on 1000hps bulb around $97 I got 2 for $150 ( hortilux) prolly could have ordered cheaper but then we wouldn't be talking bout this..lol

I go to grow your own in san francisco and its a great shop. They have a good selection, Friendly staff, i never feel like they are trying to sell me something i dont want/need and they will match any price including amazon. I dont think i could ask for more.

Out of all of the shops in my state I've only found two that accept used equipment and resell it. One of them has a lot to choose from but that's because they are most likely way over priced and the stuff doesn't move... Plus its one of the shops that don't give good customer service what so ever... The other is this new shop i found... They have a Gavita 600 used for sale for $325 with a bulb and i believe it's double ended.

They did sell me a SunSystem Self Digital Ballasted 250/400 MH/HPS Conversion setup that retails for $240, an UltraSun Blue Enhanced 400 MH($40) and a Hortilux 400 Super HPS($95) all for $240! Love those guys!

Happy to hear of your good experiences! Its always a good feeling knowing the shop you regularly go to treats you like a person rather than a wallet.

Yup they definately appreciate the business. Iam treated the same way whether im buying a $200 fan or just picking up a few 5 gal pots. If you need help they are happy to give it, if i know what i need they let me do my thing and arent pushy.

There are only a handful of shops in north Texas but I just found one in the town I live just and it's just like 5 minutes from me! Never knew it was there until about a month ago lol. Nice older couple runs the place

Thanks, i will always support the small guys if they treat me right. Oneday i hope to own a grow store, everybody wants to grow and sell to dispensaries but that market is so saturated. For the same amount of start up money and less legal hassle i would rather be the guy selling to all the growers.

Then that is an amazing shop Just like the one i go to... Its the same there. I could be spending $200 or $2... No matter what they are always grateful of my business. They may make suggestions but they never push me into buying things i don't want or need.

My "local" hydro shop is 49 miles away. :cuss:Thank god for the internet.
You have never visited? Just to take a Day to go check them out? 49 miles is a Good ride but might be worth it. However, there is a 50/50 chance they suck too. Internet is a good option when there's nothing else to turn to.

Definitely makes a difference when you can see the appreciation from your local shop. Hoping you have a shop near you that treats you in a similar way!

Im sure the older couple appreciate your business! They built there shop themselves and obviously understand the importance in their consumers. Without people like us they wouldn't exist! We put food on their families table and pay for them to survive.

Agreed however like i said... Because mj is such a gray area and because regular garden growers don't normally turn to hydro shops and instead use department/box stores these shops struggle to stay open. I can't imagine its an easy road to travel to success in this market

Nope, but I'll probably swing by if I'm in that area. Ironically enough, the shop that I used to visit was even farther away than that, but it was near my mother's so it worked out quite well.

The shop around me treats me like a king. At first though, it wasn't like that. They were always nice, friendly and super knowledgable. After dropping 6 figures in the shop on multiple occasions, they definitely changed their attitudes. I am now "friends" with both owners and all employees. Have a standing 25% discount and the owner gives me lines of nutrients to try, along with new equipment.

That's awesome! Im currently in a raffle drawing for the entire Cyko nutrient line... Its super expensive and I've been researching it so im hoping to win that! If not im sure they would discount it for me. After 6 figures you kind of earned it the respect and discounts lol

Just did a side by side with cyco and advanced. Advanced absolutely destroyed cyco on yields (for the 3rd time now) cyco has better "quality". I have had nothing but problems with ph and bad batches of nutrients from cyco. I think they have a good idea going, but it really is still in R&D.

Oh yeah, their great, they never charge me tax if paying with cash and they always give me stickers lol. Prices aren't to bad either
