Does using a flushing solution mean I can flush with less water?

Hello everyone, I hope y'all are having a good season.
I just have a couple questions about Flushing. What I would really like to know is if there are any ways to flush by using less water? I'm not hooked up to city water and have a 1500 gallon tank that's running low. Of course I could always order more water, but I kind of hate doing it at this time of year for obvious reasons.

I've never used a flushing solution. From what I can tell so far, you're supposed to flush as normal, and then end it off using the flushing solution? I think that's what the directions were saying.

My two ideas that I hope will work but probably not are using a flushing solution in hopes that I can use way less water in the process. Or rewater with the many gallons of runoff water. The second idea would be used for just pots of soil with no plant in it.

Also one more thing I was wondering. After flushing with water only, could I save that water and dilute it with more fresh water and use it to water my plants?

And of course, thanks for stopping in and reading my post. Any tips or advice would be appreciated to the equivalent of about a pound, or two.

I've used a dozen or so hydroponic and soil fertilizers and none mentioned flushing. They did show on their chart a reduction in
nutrient ppm during the last stages before harvest. I followed directions and did not flush(I think) and all was great.
explain your growing techniques and maybe you'll be able to skip that strange step. when I read about those flushing agents they're water with weak nutrient ppm. I wonder if me following directions was flushing plants automatically without the extra fuss.

I'd like to flush some pots full of used soil but no plant in it.
I've also got an indoor plant that is showing signs of stress and I think it would be beneficial if I gave it a flush. I'm just wondering if there is a way to flush using less water.

Well I guess there's no getting around it. I'll flush is a flush. Oh well no biggie.
As far as the plants go I think overall they're looking fantastic. I'll be posting pictures in the outdoor section here in about another week or two. I hope everyone else has had a great season.

Skip the solutions and just run water if you are a practitioner of "flush" RO or distilled if you want to get fancy

Well regardless of how against flushing you guys seem to be, I still need to flush out the used soil filled pots WITHOUT plants in them. Unless maybe you think butane would do a better extraction. ☺

run water through them, ignore the flush hate

IMO, dont use a flushing agent. Just go with plain pH'd water, and lots of it.

I've had plants react very poorly to FF Sledgehammer which is supposedly organic and not harmful to plants. Ha! Tell that to my plants! It was ugly...:-( Perhaps it was user error, i don't really know, but i only went with half strength. What I do know is that I've never had a bad reaction to plain pH'd water.

If you're flushing used soil for a new grow, i would recommend even more so to use only pH'd water. You don't want to take chances with seeds/seedlings/clones in your next grow! Nothing worse than starting out a grow trying to fix a problem.

Amen to that, thanks for setting me straight. Seems like I'm always trying to find ways around stuff.. But your right, not worth the risk of a bad start.
Hopefully I'll be able to collect some rainwater tonight and tommorow. My fingers are crossed
