Does it matter what microscope you use to see the trichomes

Just wondering if theirs any optical zoom that is needed on a microscope?

I've heard you need a 30-100 x zoom, just wondering if this is true or not?

Or can any microscope do the job.

Really? Come on dude.. This little birdie named Common Sence told me that if you can see the trichomes in it it will do the job..

radio shack sells a nice little pocket micro-scope for around $15. i've read where some folks even use a jewelers loop, or a powerful magnifying glass.

The Radio Shack scopes kind of a pain
in the ass to use.
You have to snip a bit of the plant and use
it on a table to really see anything.
Even then, unless you snip a ton of
samples, you're only seeing what,
.005% of the total tricomes.
A 15x loop is what i use if im being anal.
Usually when i can see an amber tint
with my plain old eyeballs, thats when
i chop.
Unlike a lot of people, or so it seems,
i like to get zombified.

lol, they def. take some getting use to.

me too man, i can spot the trichs with the tintage of the buds. sometimes i use a tiny magnifying glass on a swiss army knife lol. i dont chop until amber trichs also, i dont really like the speedy high, i like to become a laughing zombie and i usually only smoke at night so an energetic high is too much.

That's what i'm talking about, cept i smoke a bit more (a lot) than just at night.
