Does coco benefit from added enzymes?

When growing with coco, does buying an enzyme liquid benefit the plant? If so, is it worth the extra cost? From what I gather it cleans the roots and breaks down salt build up? How true is that?

I also mix my coco with 25%hp promix.

Thank you for your replies.

I grow in coco only.

i have soft water 0.2EC.

I use DUTCH PRO GROW HYDRO/COCO along with canna mono Ca.

my EC is upped to 0.4EC with the cannaCa then I add enough A and B of the Dutch pro grow to get to 1.2-1.4EC and I feed every single day.

I’ve used enzyme products, mychhorhizae, trichoderma etc. It’s all pretty pointless.

the best advice I can give you is use straight coco, feed every day once your plants are established enough to take it, make sure you add the extra Ca, most nutes have enough Mg in them to sustain a full grow, pH at 5.8 then reap the rewards.

this is under 400w and I’ve got 1 plant atm and a auto flowering plant.

normally I grow 4 together.

I used to buy into PK boosters, enzyme products, fungi products, silica products etc.

enzyme products are only viable if you wish to reuse your coco imo.

I’ve been using ludicrous nutrients because it’s the best price for powder that I’ve found.

I hear yeah about the pk booster, it made my plants in flower get nute burn. Stopped using, as the base flower nutes have lots of pk already.

I’m still using cal/mag and a carbo powder for more trichomes. But not sure if that is totally true.

I've been growing in coco for years with great results. I don't use enzymes or additives like PK boosters. Just bare bones base nutrients. Plants grow like crazy with great yields. I never have nute burn or the crispy leaves many people think is normal at harvest. I am a firm believer in using less. I've even stopped adding perlite to my coco because it isn't needed and grow in straight coco. I'm trying to grow weed not spend money unnecessarily. Some growers get caught up in adding products. I'm looking to use as few products as I can.

I think you can grow excellent weed without extra products. All you need to do is provide them with NPK and trace elements. All the other fluff is not needed. Calcium nitrate, monopotassium phosphate, and a micronutrient blend is all I use.

Those Ludicrous nutes look like all you need is the growth and bloom but they are hardly the best price at $149 for 5 pounds. That's actually quite expensive considering Maxi Grow and Bloom are around $125 for 15 pounds, Jacks 321 $80 for 15 pounds, or Megacrop $80 for 20 pounds. But if you're getting good results and are happy with your plants that's all that really matters. It's your money to spend. But I wouldn't waste money on enzymes.

Thanks for your reply. Out of the nutes you listed, which ones would you recommend the most?

I don't use any of those nutes I listed but have seen the results decent growers get. If I had to choose one I would probably go with Jacks. But any balanced nutrient will work. The environment and lighting is more important to a healthy harvest than brand of nutrient which is why I don't understand the insane prices people pay and the amount of bottles they use. Some of the feeding charts are completely ridiculous having people use "X" milliliters of this and that and changing each week. I don't have time for that nonsense. You shouldn't need to use a chart with a dozen different products to grow cannabis and I don't.

Good luck with whatever you go with. The biggest factors are still going to be lighting and environment. It doesn't matter what you dump on a cannabis plant if you have poor lighting and a bad environment you'll have a poor harvest. Fancy nutes won't make up for any of that. I get a chuckle at the grower that buys one of the expensive nutrients with cool sounding names and a dozen bottle feeding regimen and then buys a blurple light off of Amazon. They would have a better yield using Miracle-Gro and a decent light. Not that I recommend Miracle-Gro but I'd choose lighting over nutrients any day.
