I think there is a more clear revelation in the first chapter of The Revelation of Jesus Christ.
Wasn't Jesus from the tribe of Judah?

I believe they were talking about his appearance on earth, hence the isaiah chapter. The revelation chapter is his glorified spiritual body, not his flesh body he bhad on earth.

Half Judah, i think, since mary was a part of king david's family. And Judah was a tribe of israel (one of israel's sons) but sometimes they refer to judah and israel as two different groups of people after they split over that rapist who i think was from benjamin. So he was both israel and judah in that regard.

What are you doing now? Forcing your opinion down the throat of someone trying to communicate with fellow believers. Maybe you can go somewhere else where your opinion really is important to all the people you are trying to show it to.

To all of you who are here trying to argue against what the main topic was (even though it wasn't mean to be an argument forum on whether or not you believe in god, but rather how to grow in grace and knowledge as every day bible students), please instead visit the Vegan board and tell them that meat is good for you. According to the bible there are no halfs. The covenant is passed down through paternal lineage, if I am not mistaken. It would be Joes lineage not Mary's that is more important. It's been some time since I studied Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, so please excuse my summation.

It is my understanding that when the bible speaks of Israel it is talking about the decendants of Jacob.

If you want to get technical about it... it is suppose to be a discussion of marijuana in all forms of life...

Well it is important because it said Jesus would sit upon the throne of his father david, which he would be one of his "fathers" since he was a relative of his through mary. He was also the only begotten of God because of how he was conceived (by god through the holy spirit). Remember Joseph was not his father, only his adopted father.

There are times in the Bible where the birthright is passed down through a daughter, it's in the old testament several times.

You are right, Israel was the name God gave Jacob. However, during a period there was a division between "israel" and "judah" because of a conflict, some of the tribes went one way and they other tribes went the other. Judah is where the "jews" of today come from, and actually the first times "Jews" is used in the bible the are fighting against israel. That's why the "israel" of today is kind of misleading.

Basically, you are going to a thread about something (let's take for example a grow journal) and posting all over it your opinion even after someone clearly told you they don't need your opinion. My plant isn't wilting, i don't need your opinion on proper ph, and I would appreciate if you wouldn't thread jack with your ignorance of the subject.
