Does anyone know where I can buy cultured solutions nutrients in Canada?

Nice, very clean setup...but the plants are clearly NOT happy. If I had to guess, the dark green, droopy leaves are signs of over-feeding.

Clearly has not passed any electrical inspections with HID lighting hanging so close to the water. I wouldn't want to be standing beside one of those bulbs when it blows....ouch!

A little info about RO

Substances That Will Go Through a Reverse Osmosis Membrane
Volatile gases such as oxygen and hydrogen sulfide will pass through reverse osmosis membranes. Some organic substances with low molecular weight can also pass through the membrane. Some of these organic substances are suspected of being cancer causing; fortunately, these substances are rarely found in Alberta water. The activated carbon filters used in most reverse osmosis units can remove most organic substances anyway. Bacteria can also "grow through" reverse osmosis membranes leading to possible bacterial growth in the postfilter and water storage tank.

Should also be said it takes about 4 liters of untreated water to make 1 liter of treated ro water.

:) dont take it personal, This convo got me surfing RO...I still think its a waste unless your using well water...maybe.
Lol never take it personal. 75% waste I was speaking about was for cleaning hard well water for drinking. Forget the starting and clean tds but it was fairly hard water to begin with.

For sure... now say if needed 3-400gal/week, think about how much your putting in the sewer.

Do you let it recirculate for a while before mixing in your nutes to let the fluoride Evap off or is that unpractical?
Nope, not sure if fluoride ever does evap...but I do use a small aquarium powerhead to stir a fresh batch.

Then I let it sit for maybe an hour before it goes into the system...check the ph again, correct if needed.

Regardless of starting water quality, I ro my water in rdwc simply to eliminate variables. If you run into problems you will be scratching your head, and ro takes out the water factor.
