I predict 25 plants for a home grow for legal. I think they are going to make it so they can phase out the medical, because if you can have up to lets say 25 plants and up to 4 people per house thats 100 plants, if the Dr's are all only doing 5 grams (25 plants) then no one will want to sign up for medical, then they can just over time get rid of it.

if you think cannabis will be legalized so anyone can just grow their own then you are even more unintelligent than i thought.....NEVER HAPPEN!not in canada anyways....
It'll happen. As stated before you can't allow for home brewing and production of tobacco and not allow for Cannabis grows. It's less harmful than Alcohol and tobacco, and it's no more dangerous than growing veggies indoors. So with those low hanging fruit out of the way to prevent it. What's left?

Big Pharma's opposition, because they don't want it to cut into their profits and they want into the market and of course to monopolize it.

Long term and after some court cases, we may see home grows under legalization in reasonable amounts but imo, when you follow the money, meaning taxes and back room deals to bump up LP's recreational business, my guestimate if they initially allow home grows for recreational would be 5 indoor or 2 outdoor plant per household maximum (or the equivalent of a 1g/day medical script). To grow above that base limit you'll need to register under a medical program.

There have been hints in some statements from the Libs and HC which point towards a harmonized recreational & medical program, that's the only reason I'm even giving recreational home grows any chance of a probability. If they could do it without immediate and costly repercussions (court cases) I'm sure they'd try banning recreational home grows altogether.

If they allow an initial small amount for recreational home grows, imo that's a win right there as they would never have enough resources to actually inspect/check every potential home grow...

Here again, if it's legal what would I be doing wrong by growing a plant? As a patient, if it's legal, I should be able to grow what I need....just like my other herbs and vegetables, or any other seed with psychoactive properties that I can grow....control, control, control....it's the marijuana...that evil drug that makes people crazy...

I don't disagree with any of what you're saying, but it's all in the last line of your response "....control, control, control....it's the marijuana...that evil drug that makes people crazy..", makes no sense but it is reality. That's also why I started my comments with the "Long term and after some court cases". Legalization does not mean the end to the whole "evil weed" mentality, only a different version of it and we'll have to fight for open/free access of a harmless plant #$@!

i wonder how they'll mess it up with legal.
if i carry 2 oz, I'll get charged but carrying one is OK but I can fill my car/truck up with kegs after kegs and drive down the road without a second look.
i would like to see it where we can do the same as booze with legalization.
it sounds like it will still be a "second class" person who smokes recreationally

a guy I suggested to try and contact do no harm just got back to me. He was MMAR and the doctor reduced him as I understand to 1 gram a day. If I understood what he told me is accurate, man, that is totally unacceptable. So be cautious if you're going to do no harm...

I tried contacting MCRCI and first day they were closed for lunch (answering service said so) lol and today all I got was message service again. Same thing happened 4 years ago when I first used them for my wife’s aunt. Took them for ever to get back to us. I really hate to support this but that $1500 doctor is looking appealing atm. Shit it cost me $1800 to get my Broncos 302 fully machined and rebuilt to stock specs but someone with real skills.
