i don't know how i missed your grow of dr gt's c99 dr, as it's one of the few i've never seen you grow out before, lol..
anyhoo's, great job as usual, looks killer.. plus i'm a sativa fan for the most part... how would you rate it now against the other gear from dr that you've grown so far?? still leaning towards the sour d or what??
So far C99 is my fave day time smoke, very "up" as they say.But i can see why some have paranoia problems with it....the Bubba OG just took the place of the Sd as my all around fave.

I had to bump this thread, being the biggest fan of Brothers Grim c99. Is Dr. Grubber still around? I might have to pm him some questions about the Dr. Greenthumb c99. seeds

Holy Moses you are still here, great! Always glad to talk with fellow C99 Growers.

Ok, so years back I had a orignal gifted Brothers grim Clone, ran it for years, had to ditch it, cried like a baby while cutting my last two moms and had waited around for years for seeds to pop up on the net, some breeders C99 are no longer avail and only a few left. I ran the G13 labs version and its no where near the Brothers Grim version IMO, I dont think they even use Brother Grim stock. I ran Female seeds c99 that had BG parent stock and they were close but not exactly the same I was looking for, i looked around for other breeders that had BG stock, Mosca had the BX-1 c99 and Dr. Greenthumb had the S1 C99. That you posted in this grow.

So first question is have you ran the Mosca C99 BX-1 and was is close to the Dr. Greenthumb S1? From your pictures of this grow the Dr. Greenthumb looks exactly like the BG clone bud I had orignally. But the price is 3 times the mosca so I figured I would try it first.

Second question is how do you feel about the S1's and how they are made (hermie traits?) Do you think that/they are better than everyone elses since all others are crosses?

Never tried Mosca's version...sorry.

Its been a while but i think i had some late flower nanners that i was able to pick off without having seeds. From my conversations with Doc and some other breeders it seems S1's are the closest you can get to the clone. They have a high probability of being exactly like the original clone but they also contain all the DNA from the original parents as well, giving you a chance of having some real "jems" in the mix. Doc does a lot of work on them before release to keep the hermie traits to a minimum.

A real good guy to talk to is Old Mother Sativa. He has a lot of breeding knowledge and he has run as many or more strains of Doc's as I have. I'm pretty sure he knows a lot about the C99 as well. He is around this site somewhere.

I also wonder if I could cube one of dr greenthumbs females with a mosca male, if mosca is true cross of brother grim stock? Doesnt dr gt only have females?
