Support.

As long as it is regulated and ALL information about the research be made publicly available, on-demand.

Any advancements we make with human genetics and human DNA, the better. Always.

Endless possibilities, end of so much unnecessary pain and suffering

Looks like China is taking the wheel on this one because of our nutty religious majority who think nonviable embryos are people..

It completely blows my mind how stonewalling the religious majority are, and how they've essentially all but took over the Republican party. I oddly identified with Republicans back in the early 90's, but today's Republicans and Tea Baggers and Utopians are literally fucking nuts.

literally fucking nuts.
I couldn't agree with you more on this point, not only are they out of their fucking minds, their policies suck ass and fail at every turn

Policy issues they're completely wrong on; gay marriage, corporate influence in politics, domestic spying (but to be fair, the democrats aren't better), war/foreign policy, equal rights for women and lgbt's, economic policy/trickle down economics, private prison industry, war on drugs/marijuana, funding for science and education, national healthcare, balancing the budget, reining in the deficit, racism, protecting the environment and weaning off fossil fuels/being dependent on fossil fuels..

Fuck, man, that list is endless..

If I were supreme leader, you can bet your ass the republican party would be purged, Joseph Stalin style. I'd give em a 2 week pass until policy is implemented, because that's how nice a guy I am

Hitler would have loved this idea.
Do you make it a habit of knowing what Hitler would love?

Do you oppose genetic modification based on religion or ignorance? Because there is no other rational reason to oppose a technology that has the potential to eliminate things like parkinson's disease, alzheimer's disease, downs syndrome, cycle cell anemia, etc. Like I said, there is literally endless potential

Not to mention tissue regeneration. New heart? Sure, no problem. Liver failing you? Don't stress. What!? Little Timmy lost a leg in a freak chainsaw accident? That's ok, we'll make him a new one.

Anyway, be nice to give you a new brain or two or....
You would need a lot of donors.

I don't make a study of Hitler though I think he would create a lot
of blonde haired blue eyed people with your amazing idea.

I have no problem with growing shit in a lab that leads to new organ/limb growth, cures for cancer, etc. All that shit is great.

But I'm afraid it will eventually lead to the genetic engineering of "super races".

Why was little Timmy playing with a chainsaw?

Child Protective Services are on the way, it's ok, theyre the Govt.
CPS is a fucking landfill of dipshits like much of the government. It's almost as if government is there to employ the unemployable.

But none of that has anything whatsoever to do with little Timmy. That would be forceable coercion, right?

I don't understand how anyone could be against this stuff.. It overflows onto the moral aspect at that point. I don't see how a Christian could say it's wrong to help people decrease or eliminate their suffering and be theistically consistent..

So because Hitler would use genetic modification for nefarious reasons, that means none of it should legally be allowed, even to fight noble causes...
Well then, I guess that eliminates nuclear weapons, firearms, explosives, hammers, nail guns, silly putty, pillows, rope, water, razor blades or anything sharp, too, right...?

ANYTHING can be used nefariously, are you going to outlaw EVERYTHING?

So, I assume you guys also support genetic modification of plants and animals to make them more delicious and nutritious, right?

Should genetically modified humans have a mandatory label?
