Do you need to Germinate?

I got a friend of mine who wants to start growing and being a beginner myself I was wondering if I could have some feed back on weither or not germination is needed?

no, it just eliminates the worry of whether the seed you planted is a dud or not so your not waiting for nothing

i just throw em in ph'd rock wool and i think i am 27/28
