i was wondering if peppers/tomatoes/etc flower and produce what they are supose to by light cycle or age. like if tomatoes will appear in 18/6 light cycle or do they have to be on 12/12 like cannabis?

I don't know about all vegetables, but tomatoes do not need a light cycle like cannabis. They do need to be old enough to support the tomatoes before they flower, and need minimal darkness for the flowers to set. They do better with more sun than less. I know if the temps are below 55 at night or more than 95 in the day the flowers will not set and abort. I've got a huge heirloom tomato plant with flowers everywhere but no 'maters because it's getting into the mid 40's at night-- sucks! It might be the same for pepper plants (all the flowers on mine have stopped producing), but I'm not for sure. Hope that helps bud. Cheers.

hmm..i asked an indoor gardener at a hydro store but i think she thought we wer still refering to tomatoes as cannabis lol. kind of hard to transition from a sort of hidden but obvious conversation to another conversation about the same thing you were referring to in the last one. even harder to explain lmao but im sure u guys know what i mean.

i try to obtain info for my buddy who is to paranoid to and then i get/send mixed signals when trying to talk about my actual indoor vegetable garden.

Vegatables, fruits and flowers can be triggered by amount of light in cycles, temps and the hormones which the plant develops depending on the family of plant. Here is a link that talks about it done by Ohio State. Once you find know the plant you know you are referring to spefically you can google for light cycles of certain plants. Hope this helps some.

If in doors, you need to manually pollinate the flowers by touching each one with an old electric tooth brush or even a artist paint brush.
Not sure about the temps, but without bugs to pollinate, you need to give it a hand.
If it is real big, shaking it may help "spread the love" to the flowers.
